Sometimes, more of the same is the best sequel concept!

Zombie Shooter 2, the best possible continuation to the isometric trigger-happy mayhem with massive levels and RPG upgrade mechanics, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Imagine yourself coming to visit an unknown city and seeing it almost ruined, with all the citizens turned into zombies. What will you do? Call for help, organize a large-scale rescue campaign or... Try to dig your way out of the situation, find out what happened and use your last chance to save the person you love! Zombie Shooter 2 is a unique blend of two game genres - Action and RPG. Every player can choose a character to their liking, get experience to develop skills, earn money and spend it at weapons, medications and useful devices. All of this will be used against thousands of enemies. The zombies fill the game screen, never letting you rest, even for a minute. On GOG.com the game comes complete with a full MP3 soundtrack!

With the release of Zombie Shooter 2, all of the triggerhappy classics from Sigma Team, that is Alien Shooter + Expansions, Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, Zombie Shooter, and Zombie Shooter 2, receive a permanent 25% bundle discount on GOG.com.
I'll admit it's hard to be excited about a game whose entire series is famous for being part of charity bundles.
BLABLABLA...
Stop complaining about anything and just enjoy yourselves.
Thank you very much GOG for bringing more DRM-Free Sigma Team games to us. The price is also great!

amok: I doubt it would be given as a bonus, as it is sold as a separate game (or as part of a pack) in other stores.

Wishbone: Yeah, but its major drawback is that they never ported the two expansions to the new engine. So you can play the old versions and the two expansions, or you can play the new version and no expansions. That serious limitation makes it bonus material for me. It's not like it's Diablo 3. It's a content port of a fairly limited low-budget game.
yeah, I feel the same. But just because we want it to be a bonus, does not change the fact that Sigma Team do not treat it as such.
Umm... yay?

arnaud_couturier: I have no sense of quality and take everything with a smile like a good little consumerist robot rather than anyone with an actual opinion.
If there is a giveaway I might try to snag it but until then I'll just play Serious Sam. :D
Good release!
About fucking time :D
Still too mindless for me, but another game on here isn't a bad thing.

Edit: The bundle price may change my mind in the near future. I don't know whether to express joy or shame.

Oh no, you're quite right. I just never understood their reasoning regarding not porting the expansions. Either port the whole thing, or don't port anything. Why would anybody in their right mind pay full price for what is really a minor facelift to an old game, knowing that the expansions' worth of content made for the old version are not available for the new one?

Matthew94: I take video games way too seriously

I'll maybe get this with the first in some sale down the road.
We still need:

1. Theseus - Return of the Hero (seems to be offered for free on the developer site, so add to catalog as a free game or bundle with GOG version of first Alien Shooter)

2. The 'speech' folder from the original Alien Shooter 2: Vengeance added as a bonus to Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded to allow restoring the cut voice-overs if desired. (see here)

3. Alien Shooter 2: Conscription

Get on it, GOG!
Might pick this up if I ever get around to playing any of the games in these series. I have them, but you know, the backlog.

Just saying, but this seems like the kind game you only want to play the last and most recent of the series. I mean, as far as I can tell it's all about mindless shooting without much care of why, so might as well do so with the best tools and the most refined UI.

Hmmmm, no wonder I couldn't find any walkthroughs. :P
