jamyskis: Awesome stuff. I never actually expected this to come here, given that all the prior PR work focused on it coming out on Steam and GamersGate offered a Steam key in its preorder. Also, I expected GOG to be left out in the cold due to its multiplayer focus, but oddly enough, the game apparently doesn't support multiplayer on Steam either.

I still have my DOS CD version kicking around here and I'm not really on my laptop all that much right now, so I'll wait this one out, but it's definitely a game I can recommend.

LindsayYates: The game is going to be $7 at normal price. Hopefully this doesn't become at trend on GOG.

jamyskis: What's wrong with $7?
Too much money for a DOS game.
Wow, I remember the demo of the original way back when, but never got to check out the full game. Great to see it here now on GOG!
Damn! I just saw that this is only a remake like Speedball 2 HD. In that case i can only say - no thanks! :(
Speedball 2 HD is a horrible remake with laggy controls, weird ball behaviour etc. - no fun to play at all. So i won't risk buying another lousy remake - give us the original Z or bust! :P
I also believed that this is the original Z classic game ... here's to hoping that it'll find its way here on gog someday.
Got that game as one of my first PC games... never got around it... RTS are not for I XP

It's the original, right? Not the announced remake?

edit: nevermind, remake it is :P

Great release. I have a sequel (Z: Steel Soldier) somewhere on CD, but I heard that this game was better.
TERRIBLE QUESTION :P
Is there anyway to decrease the resolution? The units are too damn small! XD
Z Remake = InstantBuy :)
thx gog
Hell yeah, good release GOG! This has been a good week* all around from you folks, keep it up!

* Yes, the releases and the TW:AG beta make up for the login problems earlier this week. Though let's not have those again, please. :)

Awesome release! Have a boxed copy, so it's wishlisted for now but Z is the only RTS I ever was remotely good at. And that's although it's one of the most hectic games I now. Or maybe because of this - "The Flow"?

Zoidberg.106: edit: nevermind, remake it is :P
And that's what's disappointing about this release, it's not the classic DOS version and GOG have not provided the original as a downloadable bonus.
I really, really do not like the new UI, the unit portraits are tiny, weirdly placed and it lacks consistency in general.

I think that when you release a "remake" that is somehow different from the original, you should release the original as a bonus as well. That's should be the rule.
Eines der besten RTS aller Zeiten endlich auf gog.com.

One of the best RTS-Games of all time on gog.com.
