Thank you for negotiating this here! All the noise of this week led me to believe this wasn't going to happen.

Time to pull out the cash dispenser...

JudasIscariot: It did not want to launch when we tested it. Perhaps this will get addressed in a later update, but, as it stands right now, we can't claim it works on XP :(

Tallima: A funny thing happened. I tried to find the game Z using the search but I can't. It doesn't support 1 letter. You guys may want to fix this before Z leaves the front page.

Happy gaming!

I don't know what goes on there, I am just reporting what we experienced in our tests :)
Oh, my, I need to buy this the instant I get money. Always wanted this game but it never came to the game/book shop in my little town. I was really sad because it looked like so much fun. And it has the Bitmap Brothers label on it, so I was, and still am sure will be guaranteed. to be fun, despite the mediocre reviews it got from the Finnish gaming magazines.

catpower1980: Yep, good point! There is actually no way to find it back through the search engine because two letters minimum are needed. I'm wondering how the GOG team is gonna resolve this issue because I don't imagine people one year later browsing through the strategy catalog only to find the game page.

zeffyr: Actually there is one way: type in 'kiss' or 'tick' - Z appears. It's connected via the developer's/publisher's name.
Excellent. People will rejoice. Haha.

I see they called it Z: The Game. So you could search for Z: and that would find it. But lovers of the game who only know it by Z will be a little hard-pressed to find it. Oh well. I doubt it'll be a bestseller anyway. Not with Jack Keane 2 around. That game has changed so many lives for the better that it makes me a little weepy.

If it does use DX10 or 11, it will never run on Win XP.
Yes, yes, yes!!!
This doesn't have the Expansion Kit? Doesn't have map editor? Even more, doesn't works on XP? And it has tablet/mobile GUI... hmm. What the hell, man?! Where's the >classic< Z we all know and growth with?

Don't get me wrong here, I really appreciate the remake (even tho I don't know if it's that 'good').

There are 2 versions out there, Z (MS-DOS) and Z95 with the named Expansion Kit with a dozen of new maps and some core fixes and thingies. And if I remember right, Z95 with a simple-weightless patch is pretty playable on every OS, ranging from win95 to win8 and with a twist: You can choose higher resolutions and tweak some graphics. Why you guys on GOG didn't launched that? Or even better, BOTH, by the case? Like, let's say, Earth 2140. And I think isn't that hard to make it work with your hands. Don't want a third party patch? It's ok, YOU CAN MAKE YOURS, GOG. You have plenty knowledge and made wonders in the past with classic gems.

But instead, you chosen a remake, made by a third party dev, ON THIS YEAR, obviously made for tablet/mobiles but ported on PC, with that ***** GUI, missing many things of the classic and with a fixed-neverdropping price. And wait, because I'm saying all of this even without testing the game.

And again, don't get me wrong. I want this to be a constructive reply. I've seen this remake on Google Play a year ago and I was excited because someday it could be ported on PC. But man, choosing this before the great classic to me is a bit... meh, idk. The only cool thing on the remake is that cool map, preferred before the classic but still...

GOG, stop being fat and move your ass! :*
XP support is something that the devs have to resolve, it is beyond our capabilities.

And no, it is not related to DirectX.
