A legendary RPG classic of mind-blowing proportions.

Wizardry 6+7, a pack of two DOS-era RPG games with first-person perspective, grid-based movement, huge gameworlds, and way over 500 hours of hard-core gameplay in total, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Some say that a quill is more powerful than the sword. In most cases they can be proved wrong by a any hot-tempered, half-naked barbarian wielding a crude two-handed blade. In this case, however, we're talking about a quill that is the most powerful artifact in the whole universe. It's called The Cosmic Forge, for it has the ability to rewrite reality itself, making its wielder omnipotent. This is what's at stake, at this is what you'll be after. But as if laying your hands on this treasure wasn't difficult enough, there's an ominous force hiding in the shadows, trying to reach the goal before you do and turning the whole of the world against you. All this is but the main thread in the epic campaign bringing together fantasy and Sci-Fi in a world that could have only be spawned to existence in the early 1990s. Behold the first two games in the Dark Savant trilogy!

Wizardry 6+7 bundles together Wizardry 6: The Cosmic Forge and Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant to bring you over 500 hours of challenging gameplay that defined what we now call classic computer RPG. Once you create your party of brave adventurers, recruited among the most fantastic races and taking on some of the most awesome professions, prepare to spend a whole lot of time with them, as you'll be taking them from the first game in the trilogy up to the last one. This is a challenging game, the one the RPG codex might have warned you about, so prepare for something you have never experienced before--or, if you played it back in the day, to relive some of your best gaming memories. With tons of content and old-school goodness it's a piece of gaming history you just need to have in your collection.

Are you ready? If you think you can handle a game so huge, or you simply want to forget about the world for weeks, or even months, grab Wizardry 6+7 for only $5.99.

Oh, and by the way: Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant comes in two versions in this package: the original DOS release, and the revamped Windows Wizardry GOLD edition. The choice is yours!
Woooooo Wizardry! I kept hoping for it, but figured it would never happen since the IP seemed to just disappear from a legal standpoint. Glad to see part of the series, and hoping 1-5 somehow make it into GOG too!

G-Doc: Even though Wizardry Online looks awesome and we're happy to advertise, GOG.com does not offer MMO. It's only an installer ad.

nijuu: Question that you might not be able/allowed to answer. Does gog have an exclusivity period to sell Wizardry 6-8 in like as in BG and SS2 when they were released?
You are correct :-)

Aalda11: Fantastic, best gaming news since I got wind there's a Torment sequel in the works :)

Already bought and installed. Just two questions though for the GOG team:

- There isn't a Crusaders of the Dark Savant manual, just the Wizardry Gold one. Couldn't you find a copy? Or is the Gold manual just the same/expanded version of the original one?

- What's the soundtrack from? It obviously isn't the original music from the game. Also, the attached cover says "Wizardry 6 + 7" but there are only mp3 files for Wizardry 6 music.

Thanks!
Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a copy of the original Wizardry 7 manual at this time. Keep in mind that Wizardry Gold at its core is the same as Wizardry 7 so any information that applies to Wizardry Gold will be applicable to Wizardry 7 as well.

As to the Wizardry 6 soundtrack info, take a look here:

Let me know if I can be of anymore help. :D

Not too happy with you guys advertising a regionally restricted game to be honest.
Wizardry 7 for DOS is in what version (1.1, 1.2)?

As for the manual - yeah, no big deal, I was just curious.

And the soundtrack - so it's the PC Engine music. Wow sounds pretty awesome. But just for Wiz6.
I was just wondering why it says "Wizardry 6 + 7" on the attached cover.

By the way - is there a PC Engine version of Wiz7 music and can you get it? Because that one is one of the best ever made for a videogame :)

I know you will not tell us if its legal problem but if it is you could ekhm...unofficially upload it on replacementdocs (they have map and quick referecnce card but no manual).
OMG! Awesome releases. Thank you.
Hmm, I'd prefer a Might & Magic like pack for Wizardry 1-7, or at least 1-6. Of course 8 is the only one that really interests me anyway.

I'm sorry for misinformation in another topic, there is no PC-Engine version, but there's Sega Saturn version, and it has its own soundtrack.

Japanese-only, of course...

johnki: YES!!!

And...omgwtfbbq.

THIS is the company that released it. I thought they only had the rights to make an MMO but I guess they bought the entire series.
I believe IPM holds the trademark, and they're very flexible about licensing it to any capable developer.

This is how it should have gone down with the Star Wars games, but nooooooooooooooooo...
Nice job on getting Wizardry Gold working nicely GOG, especially the intro movie which didn't even play on modern systems out of the box. If I might ask, how did you fix the text bug? Hex editing?
Lolek and Bolek as character names in the Wiz6 screenshots? LOL!
:D
Two of the best RPGs ever created and a long-overdue addition to the catalogue. Buy them now.
I just installed GOG's Wiz6&7. There's an English and a German version of Wiz6, and as for Wiz 7, only Gold is available in English, while the DOS version (Crusaders of the Dark Savant) is only in German. I guess I can take a look at the different character portraits in the DOS version without knowing any German; otherwise Wizardry Gold is the superior product.
