So I can gut a whale and use the carcass as the chassis for my airship of destruction?!? Sold!!

Seriously though, this does seem very interesting but I will wait - if I can even run it (only have 256mb VRAM). It seems like a game that could be really good if they pulled everything off or really bad. I watched the video and the movement of the character, the animation, seems odd to me - especially the jumping. Not that I would reject a game for that, just looks a bit off. Maybe its the stark contrast between the detailed sprites and the blocky world they are interacting with.
Just look at the first reviews... I think it's an appropriate destiny for a game with "mineable whales".

Personally I'd prefer see more of the GOOD OLD things coming on GOG than a heap of modern indi-stuff, often of dubious quality.
List of requested games cries out for help!

gog should probably take this game down before too many people sink their money into it. (if what people AND reviewers say is true about the absolute bugfest)
edit: I should have stated that I plan to buy the game and am not just ripping on it for the sake of being a douche.

I haven't come across any game breaking bugs yet but if you check the stats screen after loading your saved game your character will ALWAYS be renamed 'Duke Wyndwalker' and NOT what you named him/her. Tested this out and it seems to happen every time.

Play FTL, Rogue Legacy, Valdis Story: Abysal City, Don't Starve, Blackwell Bundle, Gemini Rue, Trine (1&2), Unepic, The Cat Lady or Waking Mars and then please, try tell me with a straight face that indie games are of dubious quality.

Shame I'm broke, I'd buy it just to see if the reviews are right :P

Well, the matter of quality is rather subjective. From all of your list of ten games I have only one - FTL and I deinstalled it after a half of an hour playing. I don't say that all the indi-games represented here on GOG are slag. But judging by reviews of goggers, forum posts and sources outside of GOG, a decent part of these game definitely ARE slag more or less. Of course, ONLY FOR ME. I have a habit to express only my own opinion.

And slag games or buggy ones here is not GOG's fault, they must not test games instead of their developers. I only wish GOG not to lose its main course, reflected in its title - Good and Old Games.

I'd rather they give the developer a chance to fix it up first. I'm still interested in playing ( and buying ) it here, but if it's as buggy as some people say, then I'd rather wait for a patch or two before I buy it.
So is it buggy as the reviewers say on the store page of the game ?
I guess being able to use a whale carcass as a ship is not much of an option according to this review:
Unfortunately, in the finished game the whales inexplicably vanish upon dying. Curiously, though, the whales don’t actually entirely disappear, but rather their artwork does—you can still mine their transparent bodies and attach propellers etc. to them, but you can’t see them, meaning you can’t use them as a viable means of transportation. This essentially nullifies their presence, and while Snowed In Studios may later rectify this issue with a patch, I can only call it as I see it, and at the time of this writing I can’t see the sky whales at all.

That's kind of what I was trying to say, maybe hide the game from the public until the most important issues are fixed. I too wanted to buy the game but I cannot afford to drop the money and not be able to play it properly soon after.

A shame really, since it sounds like such a cool concept/ genre-mix. I wonder what went wrong. But if the reviews are to be trusted, then they really shouldn't have released it in its current state. :(

Are there any people here who bought a copy and are actually happy with the game and didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs... ?

Apparently, yes.

For my part, I'll just wait for a bug-free (or less buggy) version.

No point in getting a buggy mess now, when I can get a patched version later on with a nicer discount to boot.

A lot of people do like the game, I've watched 'let's plays' and they tend to have positive things to say. I haven't seen them run into bugs but that's because they happen once you're in a certain area of the game. Save game corruption seems to be the major problem though, once that's fixed I think I'll buy. A bug like that might take some time to fix though :(
