F4LL0UT: Can't quite believe that this release thread has already reached 11 pages, and that many comments are actually positive, despite this being a fairly new and not one of the best recent RPGs.
I'm guessing most of the negativity carriers left after DLC ruined GOG.

:D
I have this on disc. It's not the best RPG ever but it's certainly worth checking out. Especially at this price.

Unfortunately i will not able to purchase it while it's $9.99 . I'm still waiting for my bank to solve the scammer problem . :(

If it's what people want, then GOG should bring it. I'm not personally interested in the newer stuff, but it appears that the lack of DRM on this (which apparently caused problems and woes elsewhere) has caused good sales amount here. (Plus the fact that it's 50% off.)
high rated
This is great, I'm currently replaying the first title and was just posting in the Wanted section a few weeks ago how good it would be to have the sequel on GOG.com as well. My instant reaction to reading about TW2's original DRM was "Too much! I'll wait for this to appear on GOG.com." So, very glad it's here now, perfect timing for me, and with the 50% discount it's an instant purchase!

Edit: to me, that GOG.com is still pretty much the only distributor who offers clean versions of games is justification enough for them to release any originally DRMed game they can get, no matter how recent a release it is. It changes a game's status from "not really purchasable" to purchasable, which I think is more important than some classic gamer sensibilities. As I always expected, selling newer games has had absolutely no negative effect on GOG's support and releasing of classic titles. It's a win-win.

And I also can't agree with the sentiment that Two Worlds are bad RPGs,at least based on playing the first one. They just don't adhere to the kind of RPG that is trendy these days, with lots of linearity and storytelling and kindly holding the players hands and leading him through the story. I liked Two Worlds a lot more than the much-hyped Oblivion and Skyrim, which were an immense let-down for me after the fantastic Morrowind (of which Two Worlds reminds me most). In fact, I think it's especially the people preferring more old-school RPGs that will have a good time with Two Worlds.

I have this on Gamersgate but the DRM is pretty horrid. I'll see if I can scrape together $10 to rebuy it for the expansion and DRM free. Good release GOG.

I certainly had a much better time with Two Worlds One then with Oblivion. One thing I loved about Two Worlds is that you could actually climb some mountains, if you persevered, because it wasn't easy. The many wolves everywhere did feel a bit cheap. Besides there is no way that a lone wolf in it's right mind would attack you, unless it is absolutely starving. I think I have clocked in around 172 hours of playtime on the Two Worlds 1.
Would it be possible for GOG to add a quick reference card for the bonus item codes?
Excellent release! Definitely wishlisted!

I can't .

Anamon: snip
I'm not gonna read all 11 pages, but as one who "complained" about this not being a classic on the first page, let me tell you it was more of a joke than anything else. It is a good release, it's on my wishlist and I still may end up buying it before the current sale is past.

However, this doesn't mean we can't have some friendly poking to GOG, does it?

I can't speak to the first Two Worlds, only the second. I didn't finish Oblivion either and I mostly 'sandboxed' Skyrim rather than follow the main quest... like most people I suspect.

The trouble with Two Worlds II I found was there's soon little challenge in the game world to warrant 'sandboxing' after you've seen all the pretty art (and it can be VERY pretty). I glitched into a gated zone full of end zone monsters before doing the quests to get me there and the monsters where still easy pickings for my character who was not that well put together and wearing armour that looked nice rather than functioned well.

I found the story insulting because of its delivery, not for its lack of direction. I have a suspicion you will find Two Worlds II has more in common with Oblivion than you'd like.
Just as a reminder

The steam version also has addition activation based DRM. According to http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Big_List_of_3rd_Party_DRM_on_Steam Two Worlds 2 uses "Proprietary "Aktivierung" system, 3 machine limit " and the Castle Defense uses the same. The activation itself seems to be a flawed process with occassional complaints about it not working properly.

So if you have any interest, buy it on GOG. Did not notice this being explicitly mentioned before.
