You might not think that a hospital sim could be so funny, but remember: laughter is the best medicine!

Welcome to the GOG.com clinic! As a treatment for typical symptoms of moderngameboringus--lack of creativity, no sense of humor, and mindless repetition--we recommend a wonderful insta-cure: Theme Hospital for a co-pay of only $5.99!

Theme Hospital is a hospital management simulation. You need to fill the empty building with all sorts of hospital equipment, starting from desks and file cabinets, to ultra-sophisticated diagnostic machinery like DNA fixer or Head Inflator: you know, equipment every hospital needs. Then you hire all necessary staff members like doctors, nurses, handymen, or receptionists, and once everything’s set up, treat patients as they come in suffering from a variety of humourous illnesses, including Hairyitis, Bloaty Head, and even Slack Tongue (caused by over-discussion of soap operas!).

Theme Hospital is all about the little details: staff personalities, patients vomiting, doctors chilling in the staff room, and fantastic comedic cutscenes. Your hospital requires not only the best staff and equipment but pool tables, soda machines, radiators, and plants to keep your patients and doctors alike happy. Fans of micromanagement will be pleased, but so will fans of fun!

Do what it takes to make the world a better place: pick up Theme Hospital for $5.99 on GOG.com today!
Shut up and take my money.
Best game ever! Thank You!
If you want to win the game please feel free to take part in the contest:

tburger: Some of you complain on EA but I just love them for bringing their catalog to GOG.
Wishlist +1
They complain because many of their releases are missing expansions. I doubt anyone will complain about complete games released :)
Wow, first Darkstone, now this. Is it Christmas?
Never played this one, but looks very fun. Wishlisted for a future purchase.

This has gotten so much praise also here that I might check it at some point. Albeit I'm not fully sure if I already own it on CD, could be...

I usually don't easily get into these "management simulations", they sound too much like the work I already do in real life. Especially the stat heavy soccer management simulations, I mean come on! Who doesn't see enough excels at their work? :)

I prefer games which deviate me from real life, like fighting aliens in deep space, killing dragons in hell, being a great warlord, or driving a racing car reeeeeal fast, running over pedestrians also.

I guess that's why I've never really felt like playing The Sims either. I already have to take care of home and relationships in real life.

Pheace: snip
I was talking about people who complain on EA as a company in general (like in this thread
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/ea_games_wins_worst_company_in_america_for_2012). Maybe EA deserves it for some of their actions – maybe not – I just say that in terms of their retro catalog – they behave fair and square. Lots of games released, great prices (c’mon WC4 DVD for $5.99!), lots of goodies. I would say – one of the best publishers on board of GOG. As for addons – I think we need some patience – it’s just hard to belive that such big corporation failed to protect their expansion's IP for ALL games released here. And one last thing in favor for EA: they could kill WC Saga in no time – yet they allowed to use their IP.

SirPrimalform: Since no one else has asked yet... is this the windows version or is it just in DOSBox?

I don't think there was anything inferior with the DOS version, the only reason I ask is because I DOSBoxed this by myself just fine ages ago.
If they've managed to get the Windows version running smoothly, that's something to be commended
It's the DOS version, and someone on the Theme Hospital board is already reporting that GOG did a bad job with this one; he mentioned sub-par performance and mouse issues.

I'm disappointed.

Oh nice, a Bullfrog game, this is encouraging. Hopefully the other Theme hospital games aren't far off then, also Magic Carpet 2 and Genewars
