While I agree with what you say, I personally don't like videos to start playing on page load, especially ones with sound or music. As I said, that's just my personal preference. At least this one doesn't have sound. :)

Crosmando: No offense, but some people might consider that a streaming video on a website's front page which plays and uses bandwidth without asking the user, is against GOG's policy of "no hassle".

It's got sound? Because that really would suck. I have my speakers disconnected, so I wouldn't know.

Senteria: Sometimes if there are difficulties, GOG puts the patch in the game's filelist. But updates for the witcher generally go through the launcher. Then again I do believe GOG updates the installation files as patches come out. But i'm no expert.

deoren: From what I could remember and what I found, full installers were made available in these versions:

* 1.0
* 2.0
* EE (not sure which version this is)

Standalone patches were made available at these patch levels:

* 1.0->1.1
* 1.1->1.2
* 1.2->1.3
* 1.3->1.35
* 1.35->2.0
* 2.0->2.1

The standalone patch for the Enhanced Edition is available from here:

The page doesn't (currently) say, but it sounds like that patch is for retail and digital distribution versions of the game.
Just want to confirm...
I've already patched Witcher 2 to version 2.1 in my system, so to update it to EE version with English language I need to download Enhanced Edition Update (36 links) and EE English Language pack (5 links)

Is there any way to download the EE patch using the GOG downloader?

You guys are actually using HTML5 video on the website? If so, nice job. Works great in IE10.
It's kinda annoying that the new extras are merged with the EE ones. For new downloaders it may be more convenient, but it's annoying that I have to download new stoundtracks/wallpapers/etc., when the ZIP files are 75% preexisting content.

TheEnigmaticT: It's the Enhanced Edition. Actually, given our high-speed download rates through the GOG.com downloader, you're probably best off downloading it from us instead of through the Witcher 2 launcher.
Just a question here, i have the collector's edition physical copy, and i've had one on GOG since launch as well. Both the version from GOG and my collector's edition are the UK version, but now my location is locked to australia, will I be downloading the AU version from GOG or the UK as purchased? otherwise i guess i'll just use the updater from in game. I did notice this EE is also a director's cut, does this mean the cut content will be back in anwyway like with TW1?
How do you register the backup copy? i am somehow braindead and can't find any info about that?

I have polish CE retail. and two keys at the back of my manual.
