An intelligent heist game.

The Marvelous Miss Take, a fast-paced comedic heist game with an engaging story, challenging you to think and act quick is available for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com!

The Marvelous Miss Take turns the stealth genre on its head by using organised chaos to keep players on their toes. Successfully pilfering portraits isn’t as easy as it may seem: wandering guards decide their patrol routes on the fly, security cameras keep watch over everything and even innocent gallery goers just visiting to admire the art might raise the alarm if they see something suspicious. Only by using quick wits and even quicker reflexes can players hope to grab the loot (that rightfully should be yours, to begin with) and escape unseen – there’s no option for violence and the clock is ticking!

With a funny, engaging story written by BAFTA winner James Leach, cartoony presentation, and 25 multi-floored galleries to pay a visit to, The Marvelous Miss Take makes cat burglary fun and cheerful again!

I just don't get it. Who cares about regional pricing? The games are important and nothing else. If you can afford it then buy it if not wait for a sale. It is as simple as that.

Don't expect GOG to fight big players/publishers/studios etc.. For now let them grow, if they become big enough, then there will be time for proper fight.

For me it is not a problem as far as all games are DRM-free, this is the only thing that if changed im instantly out of here.
I really like to see that gog makes releases between sales which means that there will be more people buying the game on release, unwittingly stumbling on the game page. Personally this game does not appeal to me at all and the regional pricing only makes it more unappealing since for me it's as important as drm-free and was one of gog's founding principles afterall.

mrkgnao: Someone also forgot the second L in 'marvellous' throughout the OP (based on the game card).
One of those lovely instances of UK vs. American spelling. UK game, so the "marvellous" in the official title is spelled with 2 Ls, but US kids are taught to spell it with one L.

I remember reading a UK memoir (think it was "Dalek, How I Loved You") in which the author recounted being very confused when some show-related tie-in with a breakfast cereal brand referred to "Dr. Who". The gist was that it was bad enough to not use "Doctor" Who, but why did they print it as "Dr."?

Since I live on the west side of the Atlantic, it was perfectly obvious to me the cereal company must have had an American marketing department/ad agency come up with the promotion. Over here we are taught to write "Dr.", "Mr.", "Ms.", and "Mrs." (though "Miss" breaks the format and has no period), whereas there are no periods after these words in British usage.

Oh my, what a surprise, another regional priced game between those masses of new additions without regional pricing (ha!), well at least we got so many great AAA titles here because of this (haha!).

Agreed. It's so annoying every damn thread is filled with that regional stuff.

zegweg: I don't understand what's the big fuzz about "regional prices" !? To me, it seems fair (and true to GOG's policy) : the game is priced $22,59 OR 17,99€ (which is correct, according to conversion rates). Why are people from Germany or Netherlands complaining ? Would you guys have prefered it to be 22,59€ ??? Can somebody explain (kindly) to me how this is a "regional discrimination" ? I really don't get it....

The game seems nice and fun, btw. Wishlisted it too, waiting for sale...

Quick question. Before was it $19.99 coverted to regional currency or was it just transplanted the $ with a £.
Also i feel i must point out that russia these games are really cheap. Also not bad pricing difference in Australia.
Charming...

As an aside it makes me wonder about other common products available in most these countries and their pricing difference between the Us and elsewhere.

I believe, that as soon as the new release threads aren't full of it anymore and the anger has died down and made place for silent displeasement, GoG will drop the fair pricing package and start regional pricing for all their old games too.
I don't like this plan and think it should not be possible to go through with it silently, they could at least make clear and honest statements about this instead of sneaking it in more and more hoping that people either do not notice this or do not care if they have gotten used to it over time.

It's still bullshit and no, it doesn't give us AAA games obviously (in fact we lost some AAA games because of it).

Question, because you seem in the know. How does the regional pricing compare to other regional priced products which are commonly found and available in these countries. I mean is the percentage disparity the same between loaves of bread?

Do you mean, if I have to pay more for bread in a Polish shop (well GoG is currently selling via Cyprus, but whatever) because I live a few kilometers behind their border (I actually do)? No, if you go to a Polish market, you have to pay the same as everybody else, regardless of where you're coming from.

If you mean different shops (not the case here since we all buy from the same one), it varies extremely even inside my own country.
I don't know if bread costs the same in Seattle as in San Antonio, but it certainly isn't like this here.

For what I've seen in the video the gameplay is just like commandos game with Carmen Sandiego as female protagonist. It looks fun to play and could be much easier than commandos. Waiting for upcoming Christmas sale.

No. I was actually a semi-serious question about price disparity across the board. If the price for bread in your country on average in your currancy costs the same if converted to dollars as the average cost in the states. And then, if they didn't, the difference translated to a percentile would be the same associated with regional pricing as seen above.

whystler2012: Is it me or does the art style look exactly like that of Evil Genius?
Yes visually it reminds me of Evil Genius as well, I even checked Evil Genius game page but no different companies listed there so I guess they were just inspired by the look.
