The Last Federation, a robust and versatile Sci-Fi turn-based strategy epic with 5 different factions to control, is now available 25% off for Windows and Mac OS X on GOG.com. That's only $14.99 for the first week!

From the creators of AI War: Fleet Command comes The Last Federation, an all-new grand strategy title with turn-based tactical combat, set in a deep simulation of an entire solar system and its billions of inhabitants. You are the last of a murdered race, determined to unify or destroy the 8 others. As the last remaining Hydral, it is up to you to create a lasting federation of planets and usher in an era of peace and prosperity to the solar system. Bring spacefaring technology to underdeveloped societies, manipulate their economies, political systems, and diplomatic relations. Do whatever it takes to end strife in your solar system. Remember, when helping civilizations evolve, sometimes they evolve faster when a large multi-headed monster is glaring menacingly at them.

The Last Federation may seem a little light on the bonus content side, but don't be fooled--62 jaw-dropping artworks are a feast for the eyes of every Sci-Fi fan. Don't forget to check them out!

Fulfill your cosmic ambition and win your place among the stars in The Last Federation, for only $14.99. The 25% off launch promo offer lasts until Friday, April 25, at 9:59AM GMT.

Never heard of it, doesn't look interesting and did not like AI War so not an instabuy for me.
I'll wait till there are some lets plays to see if it's any good.
I do love Sci-Fi after all.
There's another turn-based sci-fi game, Interplanetary, releasing today on Steam Early Access. Concept is different from this one, but if people are interested then check it out.

Hey GOG, when did you make the screenshots so small? 710 pixels wide is nowhere near readable for the small text in this game's UI, so your screens do the game no justice at all (indeed they make it look fairly awful).

It's pretty ridiculous when the video trailer shows the game with greater clarity than the stills.

This definitely needs fixing (presumably across the board :/ )
This looks pretty cool. And two Friday releases; good signs for the future?
OOOOOOO a NEW space strategy! :D

I've been yearning for more strategy titles these days. While I wait for the future chances for Galactic Civ 2 and the Homeworlds, games like this will hold me over...but there are many others that deserve a spot on GOG!
Mmmm, I sure hope the game lives up to that enticing description!
I just checked out Arcen Games main site. While most of their games require some of access key, another game of theirs, Skyward Collapse, is 100% DRM free and sold off of Steam, and their site.

Check it out if you want. It's a sort of god turn-based strategy:

Maybe we'll see that here some day. Until then, I'm happy to at least see The Last Federation and Shattered Haven from them.

Arcen games only use standard game keys like they were used before drm came. You just insert them and you can play(no onlice activation). This is used mainly because most Arcen games come in a form of unlockable demos.
