The whimsical saga continues!

The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles, an inevitable sequel to the comedic fantasy point-and-click blockbuster, is now available on GOG.com for only $15.99. That's 20% off, this week only!

If there's one rule that universally applies to all fantasy world, it must be the rule of sagaism. Every successful fantasy story inevitably sprouts into a full-fledged saga, continued over the course of thousands and thousands of pages, game expansion after a game expansion, and movie after movie. And that's a good thing, too! This way we get to revisit our favorite places, check up on our beloved characters, and re-live the amazement all over again. [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/the_book_of_unwritten_tales]The Book of Unwritten Tales made fun of everything that we know about fantasy. The sequel just had to happen, if only to make fun of sagaism as well. The creators claim that it's actually a prequel and a stand-alone expansion, but we all know what it's going on here. Sagaism!

The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles could do just fine by only copying its predecessor. After all--that's what many successful sequels do. The creators, however, made damn sure to give you a plethora of fresh and funny ideas, a cast of new crazy characters, and plenty of previously unseen, beautiful and detailed locations. Point-and-click adventure fans, rejoice!

The game is available for both Windows and Mac, and as of today, the original Book of Unwritten Tales is Mac-compatible as well! You can get it 50% off, for the next 24 hours! That's not all: both games are now available in both English and German versions!

Adventurers! Fantasy fans! Troll rights activists! Grab The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles now, for only $15.99 on GOG.com!
What about the Digital Extras? The lack of the extras is what is keeping me from buying the game here.
Vote for Nordic games on the wishlist:

Arcania: Gothic 4
ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif
Archangel
The Guild 2: Platinum
Painkiller: Hell & Damnation
Painkiller: Overdose
Painkiller: Recurring Evil
Painkiller: Redemption
Painkiller: Resurrection
Spellforce 2: Faith In Destiny
The Critters found their way to GOG - so wonderful.
And the German version for both parts is available - happy dance.
Buying without any hesitation :)

Thanks a lot for listening to the consumers voice and making the German versions of both games available on GOG! You have my gratitude. And soon you'll have my money, too.
Interesting, didn't knew that the first one had a sequel/prequel/whatever. really need to play it.

EDIT: I just noticed that if you count the "removed" games then this game is actually GoG's 500th one.

Too bad Nate was my least favourite character. Critter is awesome, though.

ThomNG: I can fully live with that ;)

fortune_p_dawg: Bought! The first one was awesome!
+1. Instaloved the first, instabought the second.
Hmm I'd started playing the first one, haven't had a chance to continue on with it, but it seemed enjoyable. Finding it hard to part with the money this time around, I've spent too much on Christmas shopping. Guess I have a week to decide.
Fantastic game.

its good to see a positive review. I loved the first game, but been feeling a little discouraged by most of the reviews iv seen for critter chronicles.
There are already lots of positive reviews out there - mostly from the German magazines about the German version (Die Vieh Chroniken). Here is a small overview about the German ratings: http://pcgamesdatabase.de/gameinfo.php?game_id=2880&cat=zit
Now I've done it, gone and bought yet another game I don't have time to play
Wow! I was not expecting this! I just finished the book of unwritten tales a couple months ago. This was an instabuy the second I saw it!
cant find a good review or gameplay of this game, is it as good as the first one,
