Mirror mirror on the wall, darkest castle of them all!

The Black Mirror, an exclusive bonus content-packed edition of the dark murder-mystery adventure game with occult undertones, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $7.99 for the first week.

Black Mirror Castle stands over ancient lands with secrets buried and best forgotten. The crumbling ruins breathe with a life of their own, haunted by the past and waiting to meet the present. Following the sudden death of his grandfather, Samuel Gordon returns to his estate after an absence of twelve years. While attempting to understand the reasons behind his grandfather’s death, he uncovers an ancient family secret. As Samuel learns the truth of the mysterious origins of the land and history of Black Mirror Castle, he comes face to face with madness, murder, and the true reflection of his soul.

The Black Mirror delivers a thrilling, original horror story featuring six different chapters and five hours of spoken dialogue. There's over 150 locations to explore as you seek to unravel the grim mysteries of Black Mirror Castle, solving puzzles and riddles in a dark, haunting atmosphere. On GOG.com the game comes packed with lots of exclusive digital bonus content, including an original soundtrack (MP3 only) and a special editon soundtrack in both high-quality MP3 as well as FLAC format.

If you're the one to seek out eerie tales of mysticism and murder playing out in old gothic castles, away from the lights of the world, make sure to pick up The Black Mirror, for only $7.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount lasts until Thursday, July 10, at 9:59AM GMT.
Not too excited about this one after reviews discussing the horrid voice acting (English).
I remember playing this one a few years back
still have the disk version sadly it doesn't play on my windows8 but this one will
played the Black mirror2 and3.but this one is one of my favourites will have to get this one.
good to see it here.
This looks awesome and would make a brilliant 500th game on my GOG shelve. Unfortunately I have this resolution not to spend anything on game this month. There is just enough money on my debit card to pay for Netflix this month and I cannot recharge it from home so hopefully I'll make it.

Wishlisted for now.

To be honest I found the English voice acting to be fine. Most complaints relate to the 'flat' tone of the main character's voice, but I thought it matched his psychological state. Don't get me wrong it's not brilliant, and he certainly won't be winning any acting awards, but I found it be perfectly serviceable. I've definitely played adventures with much worse voice acting.

So don't let it put you off, as it's well worth playing if you enjoy adventures with a darker theme (If you're unsure you could always listen to a bit of a YouTube playthrough to see if you find the voices unbearable).
I voted for this game ages ago on Greenlight but will probably not buy it till it's on sale

Oh did you mean you'd not buy it on steam until it was on the sale?

ShadowWulfe: Nibiru was awesome and I would totally go for it if it came here. I had such low expectations going in (I got it at Half-Price Books 1 dollar clearance) that it blew them out of the water.
Thanks, good to know! Always been curious about Nibiru, would definitely get it if it would make an appearance on Gog.

Nibiru is an ok game, but it's shorter than you'd want it to be and doesn't really rise up to any of The Black Mirror games...Well, maybe the third Black Mirror is not all that great, but even so...
I personally had too high expectations from Nibiru before it came out and it was just a tiny bit disappointing. But not by too much, so it's certainly worth playing. It's a better game than the oh-so-much-overrated 'Runaway' (part 1), for instance.

Telika: Any hope for other languages in the future (especially for the goodies) ?

JudasIscariot: Those Special Edition goodies were/are available only in German. Believe me, we looked around to see if there was some English, or any other language besides German, version of the Special Edition of The Black Mirror but, as far as we know, there weren't any :(

As for other languages, that's not up to us, sadly.
Can I search for the english ones?

triock: Dude, it's a Czech game, not German. :p
My mistake. Sorry... but it still is great to see a game with so many extras available for those who cannot read English.
Cool release!Wishlisted.
Just a tip: save your game. I had this boxed, I've played three hours in a single sitting, then I discovered that actually you can die, and the game has no autosave function. :D

Hi Horhew, thanks for your reply! Hehe, so I should be good with Nibiru as long as my expectations aren't too high. :-) Only ever played the first Black Mirror, so have no idea how it or Nibiru would compare to BM 2 or 3. I do like the style of BM 1, so was hoping it would also be present in Future Games other adventure games. Anyway, still hoping Nibiru might one day make it here as well, so I can judge for myself. :-) That, and the other two Black Mirror games of course!
