Wishbone: Hehe, I could have sworn the thread title didn't read "Jump the Gun Edition" when I looked at it a few hours ago. Did a Blue with a sense of humor (well, they all have) change it?
Yes. Thread name changes can usually be checked through the url.

Ah, right. I didn't think of that.

ShadowWulfe: Haha, if only there was a "forklist" simulator. Sitting alone in a dark warehouse taking down lists of forks.
Clearly the coffee had not kicked in yet.

Think of it, you are in charge of a silverware empire! Do you have the guts to succeed or will you fall flat on your face, an embarrassment to sellers of fine cutlery everywhere!?
Is "flat on your face" a pun on flatware? I sure hope so.

As for classic vs. indie releases, I'm fairly certain that if GOG had the ability to release two new classics each week, every week, for the rest of eternity they would. There is a finite number of old games, after all, and in many cases the ones that aren't here yet are due to difficult IP holders, lost IPs, etc. It's a bit unfair to blame GOG for the lack of classics when all they can do is talk to the publishers and try and get them to agree to release here. At the end of the day it's up to the publishers to distribute the games.

Having said that, dammit GOG, give me Grim Fandango :[
I would just like to point out that (at least IMO) there is a difference between old and classic.
Just wanted to mention that because of the amount of posts in this thread and on this forum where people automatically call old games classics.

That's beautiful man!
You sir, have the heart of a poet. By which I mean your own, not that you stole one from somebody else.

Actually no, but I'll have to remember that for future utensil jokes.

tinyE: SHIT! WHAT A BUMMER!
I saw the thread, got all excited, and then realized I had misread it! FUCK!
And here I was all excited to start playing the game I had been wishing for all these many months I've been here.
Then you add a "t" to the second word as well, and you get an earlier post.

:(

Edit: I do really hope the responsable guys at GOG will change their mind, due Arcania is a rather enjoyable Action RPG with fantastic visuals.
I don't know if GOG has responded to this yet, but I hope they listen. GOG very well can expand their catalog, and they SHOULD! If devs are offering up DRM-free versions of their back-catalogs, why shouldn't GOG sell them? I own ArcaniA on Steam, but that's because I bought the Gothic series on sale there before I was an avid GOG user. I have since repurchased Gothic 2 and 3 and GOG (not that piece of shit stand-alone expansion) on GOG. Take my money GOG, please. I have an addiction, keep feeding it.

universal sign of idiocy and immaturity. Congratulations!
Cry some more. I've been here since the first few months of it, and I've seen it time and again, people RAGING because X game is too new or Y game kinda sucks.
This thread is now low rated.
Tis a sad world we live in.
