Old-school is fun-school.

Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe, an addictive game combining falling blocks puzzle mechanics with platforming action, with SNES-like presentation, is available 50% off for Windows and Mac OS X on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the first week!

The game's called Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe. That's it! The title says it all. Take one part falling block puzzle game, combine one part old-school platformer, add a couple thousand pixels, blend and serve. Why match colored blocks when you can just shoot the hell out of them? Your goal is to survive as long as you can in the single player, or the competitive multiplayer, or many challenges to help build your skills. This is yet another title on GOG.com coming with the full soundtrack both in high-quality MP3 and FLAC formats!

Transport yourself back to your childhood when games like Super Puzzle Platformer Deluxe were the perfect thing to start your morning before going to school! It's only $3.99 if you get it before Tuesday, April 8, at 9:59AM GMT.

DrakeFox: I'm wondering though, does this one have online leaderboards cut out like some other games have had when released on Gog?
I have to ask this as well. I love GOG, but I don't like games with features missing, even if it's inconsequential like a leaderboard

Pretty sure it's missing. I'd let you know, since I bought it, but I can't get it to run for some reason. I keep getting an error: "No Audio Device Detected" and then the application crashes.
Looks nice. Might be worth checking out.

Ah well, I'll still buy it. Adult Swim publishes really fun games.
That name is perfect for an April Fools Day release. Looks awesome though and I'll have to wishlist this for now. :)
The graphics resolution looks very low. I would have thought that "SNES-like presentation" could also be realized in a HD resolution but with the old style but with much more details. For a game from 2013 you could probably implement the retro style much better.

Please write to us when those kind of issues pop up :)

Sure did. Waiting to see what you all come up with. ;)
Controller notice added to game card as I had the chance to test the game out myself last night to ensure everything works before I go around advertising it :D
I just played the flash version to check it out. After 10 minutes, I bought it here. I wish more games would have demos/free versions to try. Unless the game sucks or is broken, it would probably lead to more sales.
I had no idea what to expect when I bought it, but this is a ton of fun. Well worth 4 bucks.
