Hadouken!

Street Fighter Alpha 2, one of the most successful 2D fighting games of all times, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Ryu, from Japan. Chun-Li, from China. Ken, from USA. Birdie, from England. Charlie, from USA. Adon, from Thailand. Rose, from Italy. Guy, from USA. Sagat, from Thailand. Bison, from Brasil. Sodom, from USA. Akuma, from Japan. Dan, from Hong Kong. Zangief, from USSR. Dhalsim, from India. Rolento, from USA. Gen, from China. Sakura, from Japan. Eighteen hardcore fighters, each with his or hers set of moves and fighting techniques, are ready for the incredible showdown, that is the Street Fighter championship.

In Street Fighter Alpha 2, many of the long time favorite characters--like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Zangief-- return to our screens. They're accompanied by a cast of newcomers, who have even more to prove. The game features beautiful, cartoony pixel-art graphics that guarantees a clear view of the fast-paced combat. A system of deadly custom combos has been introduced in place of the closed chain-combos, so you have even more control over your fighting style!

Stretch your fingers, put on your bandanna, and get ready for the ultimate fighting challenge in Street Fighter Alpha 2, for only $5.99!
F4LL0UT disney now own marvel they have for sometime, have you been living under a rock?

JMich: I sure hope so, because X-Men means Marvel, Marvel means Disney, and Disney means LucasArt. Thus seeing X-Men here will be reason to rejoice, wouldn't it?
avatar
F4LL0UT: I fail to see the connection between Marvel and Disney. Did I miss something?
From wiki:
In 2009, The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4 billion.

Elmofongo: I hope capcom releases Resident Evil Remake here, there was a PC version.
No there wasn't. The remake only came out for the GameCube.

Not only was there one, to my understanding it was the best version, at least on par with the Dual Shock edition from the PSX + crispier visuals. The PC version I played also had the uncensored colored intro + Chris smoking a cig in the manliest of ways. Don't know if it was present in all PC versions.

Edit: Ah crap, I missed the word "remake". No, the remake was GC only, to my understanding.

Aver: I hope that we will see RE2 and RE3 here. I have both of them, but saving game doesn't work.
avatar
jamyskis: It does, you just need to remove the game from the Program Files directory and put it elsewhere where it isn't write-protected.

Saving is the least of the problems with the PC versions of RE2 and 3 from my experience...
Believe me, I was looking for solution for days and it was one of them, but unfortunately it didn't work for me.

[edit]
Oh, I see someone said that it doesn't work with NTFS. Now I know what was the problem. I may try to install it on my pen drive and try it this way.

Don't forget about Dino Crisis.

staticblast: Oh yeah! But why start with 2?
avatar
grviper: Because the first one was meh?
So? Bundle them, then. Street Fighter Alpha 1+2!

:D

grviper: Because the first one was meh?

jamyskis: The first one was good, but superfluous when you have the second one. The third one kinda botched the balancing, so SFA2 is the best of the SFA series.

Actually, I've not played the extraordinarily rare PC version of SFA1, but it does exist.
It's rare? Huh. I picked it up in a bargain bin a few years back.

For fuck's sake, it's enough, people! I get it!
This is fantastic! Not only because I'm happy to see this great game here but now I have reason to hope for more Capcom releases. I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and I loved the Marvel vs' games. I can't wait to see what comes next.
Capcom games aren't exactly my cup of tea (the one game from them I want is console-only), but is nice to see a japanese company here.

Lol. Knew most Star Wars Robotchicken stuff, not this one though. Hilarious! :D
And yeah, I see the analogy. ^^
Wow, this takes me back. The people I'd play it with are scattered to the winds, and I have no interest in playing the game again, but it certainly takes me back.

More importantly, does this mean that GOG's signed Capcom? You'd think there would be some sort of announcement.
