Hadouken!

Street Fighter Alpha 2, one of the most successful 2D fighting games of all times, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Ryu, from Japan. Chun-Li, from China. Ken, from USA. Birdie, from England. Charlie, from USA. Adon, from Thailand. Rose, from Italy. Guy, from USA. Sagat, from Thailand. Bison, from Brasil. Sodom, from USA. Akuma, from Japan. Dan, from Hong Kong. Zangief, from USSR. Dhalsim, from India. Rolento, from USA. Gen, from China. Sakura, from Japan. Eighteen hardcore fighters, each with his or hers set of moves and fighting techniques, are ready for the incredible showdown, that is the Street Fighter championship.

In Street Fighter Alpha 2, many of the long time favorite characters--like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Zangief-- return to our screens. They're accompanied by a cast of newcomers, who have even more to prove. The game features beautiful, cartoony pixel-art graphics that guarantees a clear view of the fast-paced combat. A system of deadly custom combos has been introduced in place of the closed chain-combos, so you have even more control over your fighting style!

Stretch your fingers, put on your bandanna, and get ready for the ultimate fighting challenge in Street Fighter Alpha 2, for only $5.99!
Every week on gog is special - I'm very happy to see more good stuff here!! And thanks for bringing good memories with Street Fighter games gog!!
Can anyone vouch for the speed and accuracy of this port? I've experienced some pretty damn awful Capcom PC releases.

MFbM: Niiiiiiiiiice! WIshlisted for now, but do hope that DRM-free version of STREET FIGHTER IV, SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV and STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN will be here (complete with all their respective DLCs) in the future.
very very distant future perhaps

It is spot-on accurate with the PS1 and arcade versions.

keeveek: It was released on PC?! ME WANTS!
The PC version of BoF4 is buggy as hell. Even when I ran it on the PCs it was designed for, it crashed constantly (including one campfire scene where it just froze every time on every PC I played it on).

On Windows 7 it won't even start, in spite of my best efforts.

Holy Mother of GOG! O_O
That came out of nowhere.
Capcom?
Street Fighter?
Who are you and what have you done to GOG???

Nah, seriously - epic surprise.

Didn't even know there was a PC version.
What's next? The X-Men beat'em up?

There are some pretty good PC ports of Capcom games.
I'm pretty excited now that the chances of BOF and Mega Man Legends on PC are higher.
Played it to death in the arcades and on my Sega Saturn. Though I still suck at it. Now I can play it on PC drm-free, awesome GoG!
Hahah mother of god... I never thought I would se a Street Fighter game on GOG :D Please bring more :D

Ah the Saturn, such a powerhouse platform for 2D fighters back in it's day.

I sure hope so, because X-Men means Marvel, Marvel means Disney, and Disney means LucasArt. Thus seeing X-Men here will be reason to rejoice, wouldn't it?
I hope capcom releases Resident Evil Remake here, there was a PC version.

I fail to see the connection between Marvel and Disney. Did I miss something?

Disney bought Marvel in 2009, for ~$4 billion
Wow this is a pleasant surprise, well sorta since I recall someone posting somewhere that they asked some studio or another about bringing their games to GOG but they said that Capcom wanted to handle that for them, so Capcom beginning here isn't a shock as much as SF Alpha 2 beginning their first release which is good as there is a lack of good fighters on PC and a even more noticeable lack on here
