Hadouken!

Street Fighter Alpha 2, one of the most successful 2D fighting games of all times, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Ryu, from Japan. Chun-Li, from China. Ken, from USA. Birdie, from England. Charlie, from USA. Adon, from Thailand. Rose, from Italy. Guy, from USA. Sagat, from Thailand. Bison, from Brasil. Sodom, from USA. Akuma, from Japan. Dan, from Hong Kong. Zangief, from USSR. Dhalsim, from India. Rolento, from USA. Gen, from China. Sakura, from Japan. Eighteen hardcore fighters, each with his or hers set of moves and fighting techniques, are ready for the incredible showdown, that is the Street Fighter championship.

In Street Fighter Alpha 2, many of the long time favorite characters--like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Zangief-- return to our screens. They're accompanied by a cast of newcomers, who have even more to prove. The game features beautiful, cartoony pixel-art graphics that guarantees a clear view of the fast-paced combat. A system of deadly custom combos has been introduced in place of the closed chain-combos, so you have even more control over your fighting style!

Stretch your fingers, put on your bandanna, and get ready for the ultimate fighting challenge in Street Fighter Alpha 2, for only $5.99!

For fuck's sake, it's enough, people! I get it!
Well, that's why I love community here. You ask a question and at least 10 people answer at the same time.:D

Elmofongo: Makes me wonder why they cannot server the exclusivity like they did with RE4?
Severing that exclusivity cost Capcom Shinji Mikami.

But in all honesty, the real reason they probably haven't ported the remake is the probably less to do with Nintendo and more to do with them not seeing it as profitable. The pre-rendered backdrops were designed for 640x480 and won't look very good upscaled anyway, and Capcom would never take the time to rebuild the artwork for PC gamers.
Ah, the good old days of Capcom before they started holding back content and instead of offering it as unlockables, they started making people pay for it. I used to be a big Capcom fan, but now I don't support them anymore.

Please release Dino Crisis 1, have really fond memories of playing it on my PS1 back in 1999 and would love to play the higher resolution/crisper textures/higher frame rate PC version.

I wonder why Mikami was so upset about the exclusivity being broken, while in his own compamy he is making Multiplatform games.

If he was a believer in exclusivity or something than now he turned his back on it.

EDIT: but they did released Code Veronica in HD so there is still hope.

Ooh, I wonder if Chaos Legion will turn up. I have an urge to sacrifice stray souls to summon unearthly force!

This is a good day.
Get Alpha 3 up too and I'll let GOG help themselves to the content of my wallet
Well, with Christmas coming, and my backlog being what it is, there is no way on Earth I can justify buying this.

I am therefore going to buy it any way, to paraphrase Captain Kirk.

Thank you GOG and Capcom. Truly, thank you :-)
W.........T.........F?????????

I'm not going crazy am I? Capcom just came on board with SFA2?????
Wait, does this mean that we might see more Capcom franchises?
Resident Evil comes to mind...
I don't care how shoddy the port turned out, bring me Devil May Cry 3, GOG!

There are old PC versions of the RE series, though I don't know how good of ports they were. I'm hoping for those and the PC version Breath of Fire IV among others. I still can't believe Capcom just came to GOG out of the blue, i'm stunned...

Edit: Shame there doesn't appear to be a PC version of Street Fighter Alpha 3, that is my all time favorite SF game, but i'll gladly take 2 anyways.

If Capcom allows it,GOG can get their hands on the actual game(i.e. CD's and what not) and can get it up and running then of course.
A fighting game on GOG? And NOT by Arc System Works? That's actually surprising
