Hadouken!

Street Fighter Alpha 2, one of the most successful 2D fighting games of all times, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Ryu, from Japan. Chun-Li, from China. Ken, from USA. Birdie, from England. Charlie, from USA. Adon, from Thailand. Rose, from Italy. Guy, from USA. Sagat, from Thailand. Bison, from Brasil. Sodom, from USA. Akuma, from Japan. Dan, from Hong Kong. Zangief, from USSR. Dhalsim, from India. Rolento, from USA. Gen, from China. Sakura, from Japan. Eighteen hardcore fighters, each with his or hers set of moves and fighting techniques, are ready for the incredible showdown, that is the Street Fighter championship.

In Street Fighter Alpha 2, many of the long time favorite characters--like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Zangief-- return to our screens. They're accompanied by a cast of newcomers, who have even more to prove. The game features beautiful, cartoony pixel-art graphics that guarantees a clear view of the fast-paced combat. A system of deadly custom combos has been introduced in place of the closed chain-combos, so you have even more control over your fighting style!

Stretch your fingers, put on your bandanna, and get ready for the ultimate fighting challenge in Street Fighter Alpha 2, for only $5.99!

gandalf.nho: Capcom games aren't exactly my cup of tea (the one game from them I want is console-only), but is nice to see a japanese company here.
Well, technically Square Enix beat Capcom to it. But indeed, so far we only got games that were originally released by Eidos (at least I think).
Wow, pleasantly surprised to see Capcom here.
This one caught me totally off guard...
It seems like Capcom snuck into the party through the backdoor.

No announcement? No countdown? Nothing!
These are the kind of announcements we want to see at the seasonal conferences.

Probably because the deal is only for a few games
YYYEAAAHHH

Flock! and Age of Booty coming next!!!!!!!

Also, the only Street Fighter I can do is the slow Super Nintendo version of Street Fighter 2.

Still, Capcom Joining GOG is a Big deal

Imo Bigger than other devs/publishers

Why did Team 17 get their own announcement page on the GOG frontpage when they joined but Capcom got nothing?
Capcom has never been influential or even relevant on the PC. i can't see how it would have been justifiable to make a big conference announcement out of it, TBH. sneaking them in like this is appropriate, IMO.

also, Resident Evil is quite possibly the game that's aged the worst. from the graphics to the animations to the controls, it's a complete mess by today's standards.

if anything, i'd like to see the gorgeous GameCube remake, but i know it's never going to happen.
Holy poop, my favorite SF (next to SFA 3 on the Dreamcast)! Insta-buy with hopes from more from Capcom. My poor backlog keeps growing...

True, capcom was never big in the PC market but that does not change that it still has plenty of good classics that would feel right at home here

there's no HD edition of the RE remake, though, is there? AFAIK the remake is a Nintendo exclusive so there's no chance of it ever showing up on a different platform, unfortunately.

Makes me wonder why they cannot server the exclusivity like they did with RE4?
