Fight the system inside the system inside the system inside the system!

Stacking, the unique multi-layered and puzzle-packed adventure from Tim Schafer's Double Fine team, is available on GOG.com, now for only $9.99. That's 33% off the regular price until Tuesday, December 4, at 10:59AM GMT.

Dystopian societies, enslaved nations, totalitarianism--gamers are no strangers to the grim, enslaved worlds. Stacking, however, presents this setting in a very unique way. The workers are being exploited by the ruthless industrialist known as The Baron. We're talking things like child labor and life ruining debts here. You are Charlie Blackmore, the youngest and smallest member of the Blackmore family. It's up to you to put an end to this proletaryat exploitation and free the other Blackmores from the greasy hands of The Baron.

Stacking is an adventure game inspired by two things--the economical breakdown of the 1920s and Russian matrioska dolls. Bizzare? You don't know the half of it! The fact that the hero of this story, Charlie, is the smallest of the dolls, allows for some very interesting mechanics. By stacking with other, larger characters you gain their abilities that will get you through the games many creative puzzles. There are also some little side-stories for you to discover, as the amazing world of stacking unfolds before your eyes, layer after layer, after layer, after layer, after layer.

See why the game was so highly praised by both media and gamers. Get Stacking, for only $9.99 this week!

Now that I know for sure you're doing all this manually, I'm filled with a mixture of awe and bafflement.
Actually, it should be матрёшка .

"Matrioszka" and let's leave it at that. ;)
Stacking is awesome. That is all.
Getting the message 'Checksum error on chunk 72, please contact support!'
My downloader says it's up to date.

Phaidox: It's high time Klei joined our glorious GOGolution - I'd buy Shank or Mark of the Ninja in an instant.
I wrote to Klei around the time Mark of the Ninja was released on Steam and they said that they had no plans to come to GOG. It's gonna take some more people to convince them, I guess. Shank 1 was already DRM-free in that HIB.

SimonG: Do you actually have a list on your Desktop with all the links and games?
avatar
Barry_Woodward: It takes a while to make the lists initially, but once I do I save them for future use.

Pheace: Either way it's pretty tiring to see that stuff in every thread.

Barry_Woodward: I was wondering who was downvoting me. ;)
avatar
Pheace: We know where the wishlist is.

Barry_Woodward: While that may be true, it's been my experience that posting direct links to games is effective in getting people, who might not otherwise do so, to vote for them.
Thanks for the effort and great work. Some people just hate to see new-ish games appear on GOG, that's why they are so overly irritated in any small efforts to try to make that happen. It is good that you activate people in a positive way, don't let the naysayers pull you down.

I'm actually looking for the "Carrier Command: Gaea Mission" wishlist item right now, but this is the wrong thread for that...

Neat, the Double Fine game I'm most interested in so far.

Charming little game this - trying to get all the solutions to all the puzzles finding/solving/etc all the riddles takes quite some time...

However I have it on steam and with no extras (worth speaking of) there's no incentive to buy it here...
Indie Tuesday .
this is a great, great game. i spent many hours playing this when it first came out. i love how every puzzle has multiple solutions.
Woo! One of the most charming games I've played. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a highly unique and charming experience. I wrote a review a while ago if anyone wants to hear my thoughts on it. :)
