Say cheese!

Snapshot, a 2D platformer with adorable pixel-art graphics and a unique twist in the mechanics, is now available on GOG.com for $4.99! That's 50% off until next Thursday, November 29, at 10:59AM GMT.

Meet PIC. PIC is a robot. But don't hold that against him. In this little metallic chest of his beats a heart of a true artist. Well, a cold fusion power-coil of an artist, to be precise. PIC's goal in life is to travel the beautiful, colorful world he lives (um, operates?) in, and take pictures of everything he sees. This would indicate his Japanese origin, right? But the camera he uses is no ordinary piece of Asian tourist equipment. It's got some very special powers that let PIC mess with the reality and give a whole new meaning to the term "capturing a moment".

Snapshot takes us for an unique trip across the pixel-art landscapes. It's only natural to take some photos, now isn't it. But the clever mechanics that let you manipulate the objects you point your magical camera at, makes your trip so much more amazing. If you're a fan of classic 2D platformers, if you enjoy top-notch high-res pixel-art, but you just can't force yourself through yet another cliche game--take Snapshot for a spin. It's something completely different!

Grab your time-space bending camera and take a Snapshot, for only $4.99!
Oh snap!
thx, instabuy :)

Looks like a cool platformer but...I must admit that I expected at least some sort of Action, Racing or FPS title today

This week seems to be all about Point/Click and Strategy :)
Yeah, I just dreamed bout another 2D platformer... How would you know?!
Don't like platformers, and we seem to be getting more and more of them on GOG, so it's a miss for me as well.

Pretty looking game though, for anyone who loves platformers. Just not for me :(
Never heard of this one. Looks like a neat platformer. The world can never have enough 2D platformers, right guys?

The world can never have enough good 2D platformers you mean, there are so many bad platformers from Indie developers it's unbelievable

Let's hope that this is not one of them, if anyone's played this game, let us know how it is
It looks cool. And with regard to the trailer, it looks like we finally have here platformer with some original gameplay mechanics.

generally it looks like gog lost its touch on releasing old games, they are quite rare (we used to be getting 2-3 a week) and when they do appear its mostly strategy/tactical games..
I think even other digital disturbers have more old games release per month than gog now or at least similar amount.

Well this week from an "Old release" we got imperialism which is another superb release from Ubisoft but I don't see an issue with the "Old Game vs New Game" ratio

I see an issue sometimes with the variety in releases, of course I understand that this depends on the recent publishers and so on but still...

I always check out TotalBiscuit's "WTF is..." series

Not my cup of tea. We get so many platformers but only one in a hundred years is an actual 2D action-platformer in the style of the old 8/16 Bit action-platformers. Pretty much all of them are just puzzle games with a 2D sidescrolling perspective or unfair precision platformers designed for people ho play unfair Super mario World ROMhacks with savestates after each jump.
pls add also shuggy, it's superb platformer

In the last week we've released Shadow Warrior (PC & Mac), Imperialism, and Terminal Velocity. That's three or--if you want to be a numbers-inflating bastard and count Mac seperately (since, after all, it does take a lot of work)--four. Either way, though, that's FPS, action, and strategy classics released in the last 7 days--and each of them among the very best of their genres.

We remain comitted to classic games. We are currently working on getting a number of them ready for the next few months. We will continue to release classics. While we are, indeed, releasing a number of new games, you will find that we continue to work on classics just as much as before. :)
Decent platformer but they still haven't fixed the game so that it has a working VSYNC option. The game originally released without VSYNC, it later got added.. but when you enable it.. it doesn't work. Forcing VSYNC via drivers eventually breaks the game on my computer.

I got this for free on Steam from one of the developers giveaways, and still haven't managed to play through the game because of that, the vertical tearing was too distracting for this game.

EDIT: Also, there are stuttering issues when I force VSYNC on via drivers. Some people have managed to get the in-game VSYNC option working, but for many people it doesn't work. Even if you get VSYNC working, expect the game to have microstuttering when it's enabled.

If you're buying this.. keep in mind it has some technical issues.
