Srice n' shoot!

Shadow Warrior Complete, the legendary over-the-top FPS starring Lo Wang, the ultimate Asian badass, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

There is the way of the sword, the way of the fist, the way of the sub-machine gun, and the way of the sticky bomb. But there's also the way of Lo Wang, that combines them all. It also adds a bit from the path of ass-kicking and gets much inspiration from the driveway of dukedom. To define the way of Lo Wang in layman's terms, it's a Fu Manchu Kung Pao tao ninja tofu Beijing kung fu teriyaki Tokyo ramen kawaii Gangnam hentai sushi katana usagi shuriken miso samurai fighting style, but it differs from the traditional Fu Manchu Kung Pao tao ninja tofu Beijing kung fu teriyaki Tokyo ramen kawaii Gangnam hentai sushi katana usagi shuriken miso samurai fighting style in that it embraces the gift of rail-gun.

Shadow Warrior Complete feels like a mix of Duke Nukem 3D with every bad kung fu movie ever made. Lo Wang is just as much outspoken as the Duke, and the humor here is even more tongue-in-cheek. The game is brutal and bloody, maybe even more than Duke's adventures, thanks to the use of katanas. The story of revenge over the Zilla Corporation takes us through 22 creative maps crafted in 3D Realms' updated Build engine. The Twin Dragon expansion adds another 13 levels and the elusive Wanton Destruction map-pack brings in 12 further arenas of mayhem. You get all that, and a soundtrack, in our Shadow Warrior Complete pack!

Are you ready for some badassery, blood, guts, and racial stereotypes? In other words: who wants some Lo Wang? Grab Shadow Warrior Complete, for only $5.99!

Ductos: Been waiting a long time for this to finally show up here.

Thanks!
Too bad it doesn't have a bad-ass Open GL engine like eDuke for DK3D.

GREAT!
Haha, can't wait to try it!
CD audio included?
YES!

I'll never forget playing the demo back in 1997, and when you beat it, the order screen said:

"YOU ORDER GAME NOW OR LO WANG KICK YOUR ASS!"
Fan-fucking-tastic.
That atomic BOMB. Love this game.
Ooooooh.. nice release.
Great release! Lo Wang is one of the funniest game characters I've encountered. I've only played the demo (and I didn't even complete it!), but the similarity to Blood makes it a must play. I've put off buying it from 3D Realms for a while because of my backlog and since I expected it would turn up here sooner or later. Nice price too! I may buy it before it hits a sale.

Who wants some Lo Wang! Me do!

Densetsu: Now this will be only very loosely related to the release, for which I apologize, but those who are still able to enjoy older shooters should really, really consider investing in copies of DooM and DooM II - Hell on Earth.

The first is quite good and the second not so much, but what you need from them are the doom.wad and doom2.wad files, which will enable you to play a huge selection of custom, fan made levels via the various source ports (wads which contain one or more custom levels and megawads which replace either all the episodes in DooM or the entire 32 level set in DooM II).

Plenty of fan releases are truly excellent; very atmospheric and thoroughly enjoyable. They are of course all free and, if you want to experience most of them, it will take years to do so. Literally.

If you are interested, you can get all the relevant info on Doomworld.

Some of the wads/megawads that I recall at the moment as great experiences:

Suspended in Dusk;
Valhalla;
Genesis of Descent;
Thunderpeak.
Thanks for your recommendation. I really like Doom 1\Doom 2\Final Doom still but it is more then a decade since I played any new Wads. I remember Alien Doom as particularly impressive but I can imagine that Wads have come far since then.

I will check out your recommendation at a later time.I already have Zdoom so I'm all set to go!

Awesome!
Does't look as good as DN3D with eDuke, but this will certainly do. Thanks!

Try Ultimate Torment and Torture. Very good pack.

As for Shadow Warrior, I already have it from 3DRealms, so I think I'll put off getting it here for now, but this is great.

Not so funny but still memorable:
In the Diablo demo an ominous voice reprimanded you if you tried to go down to the third? floor. "That is forbidden in the demo!"

About damn time. <3
YES! Now this is more like it GOG... two awesome old releases on the same day!!! :))))
This game brings back so many memories.

When I was in 6th grade, my parents would never have bought this for me, so I paid a friend to buy it for me. To this day, many years later, some friends and I still make Lo Wang jokes.

I'm really glad to see it here. I also noted that in the Rise of the Triad remake interviews, they indicated that there was some desire to make a new Shadow Warrior game with modern technology, but that licensing was an issue. Here is to hoping that happens, too!

Also if you want something absurdly brutal, I'd also suggest the one I'm currently trying to get through, Scythe2. It looks really, really nice, too. Not as nice as UTnT, but by this point I'm despairing of ever finding a mappack as perfect as UTnT.
