With your purchase, you also get a comiXology giftcode for the digital Shadowman (2012) #1 comic book, and a $5.99 discount code for a Valiant Comics official Shadowman t-shirt (7-day offer)!

They say that magic of blood is the ultimate kind of magic. It pleases the mighty dark spirits of the Deadside, giving its user power that no human being should ever wield. But the human soul is easily corruptible by such temptations. There are always those, who would reach for the forbidden fruit. They will kill to taste it. They will kill again to keep it. But the Man of Shadows, the traveler between the worlds, stands guard. His destiny is to maintain balance between the Deadside and the Liveside. By the power of gruesome voodoo artifacts, he's implored to stop all strife--by any means necessary.

Shadow Man is a third-person perspective action game that will amaze you with its dark story and aesthetics. You will explore two overlapping worlds, held together by the power of eternal magic. The nonlinear gameplay will take you to numerous impressive locations with many terrifying enemies to defeat and clever puzzles to solve. If you enjoy action games with deep and unique setting, solid gameplay, and dark mood, you can't go wrong with this comic book-inspired classic!

Start your fascinating journey through the dark realms of bloody magic and madness in Shadow Man, for only $5.99 on GOG.com, today! Special bonus codes for the comic book and $5.99 discount for the official Valiant Comics t-shirt will be e-mailed to you. This special offer lasts until Tuesday, September 24, at 9:59AM GMT.
Yay nostalgia!

Ghorpm: I vaguely remember this game but sadly nothing about the gameplay... However, I do remember that they used Moonlight Sonata in intro... Classical music in video games / advertisements / TV shows is a pet peeve of mine. I think I'm in minority but I just don't like it and feel that classical music deserves better. I'm not saying that games or shows are bad, it's just that those two things shouldn't be mixed together. Just like e.g. waltz and disco ;)

Novotnus: Dies Irae in Still Life was awesome and fits perfectly in the intro.
Moonlight Sonata in the intro to Shadow Man was a perfect fit too.

I think the music totally complements the intro with Ripper, it makes the mood awesome :)

regarding the gameplay:
you could say it's a third person shooter, where you go through various levels (which are huge and maze-like so it's easy to get lost), you solve puzzles, you can go back and forth through the levels (as you can for example access certain areas only after you've acquired a certain item or number of items)

all and all, the game looks wonderful even today, has terrific sounds and music, and the more I talk about it the more I want to play it :D

Randalator: I like ümläüts. They mäke everything löök metal. That's why Germän is so äwesöme.

keeveek: It is a strange language where the butterfly sounds like it's some kind of a weapon of mass destruction.
See? METAL! \m/

I Always considered it as a mix between metroid and Zelda with a dark voodoo setting.
A map in bonus content - the most important part for anyone who intends to play this game. On my first try I stopped playing at some point because I missed "something, somewhere" and backtracking through the whole game was too time consuming.

And I've been wondering about one thing since the demo came out - what's the song in the trailer?

You're cheating. My gf is studying German language and she says such words are pretty easy to construct and pronounce when you "get the flow" ;p

true, the "map" must be the most significant bonus to a game from all the bonuses to all the games GOG has even introduced!

with a map in my hand, I'll definitely be able to finish this! eat lead, Ripper!

Be that as it may, I still don't like it. One of the most beautiful aspects of classical music is that different set of instruments (keyboard, stringed, wind, percussion...) play significantly different notes and it's the sound combination that makes it marvelous. If you make a tune out of it (I don't think devs hire orchestras to record a soundtrack) you will end up with the main theme only...

And it's definitely not a sole reason why I don't like it ;) But as I said - I'm aware I'm in minority and I'm not trying to convince anybody to my point of view. But I must admit that in some particular cases in enrages me and not merely annoys (the best example is Żywiec and In the Hall of the Mountain King)
Awesome. I've heard of this but I never made an effort to try it, I'll have to rectifty that soon. Wishlisted for now.

Don't forget the ß (aka double s), the hidden star of german special characters ;-)

Edit: About the release: Absolutely unknown to me and so I have no idea what it is, which means I will put it on the wishlist and will take later another look, which means I will search for some gameplay videos on youtube.

So what is the difference between using that double s and just writing " ss " in a word?
