Paper Sorcerer, a unique-looking grind-less mixture of RPG and adventure coming with more than 40 floors of dungeons filled with encounters, treasure, traps, and puzzles, is available 20% off on GOG.com, for Windows and MAC OS X. That's only $3.99 for the first week!

I've spent mosted of my mortal life researching the arcane arts, looking for ultimate power to grant me dominion over the world of men. Always buried in books I was. It seems only fitting, that one of the infamous grimoires became my prison. Oh, those accursed do-gooders had no idea what they were doing, trapping me in here. Yes, I might be locked away… for now. But I am locked away in the place that is one of the greatest sources of magical power that ever existed in the multi-planes. I refuse to acknowledge my imprisonment! I refuse to recognize all of the strange creatures of this world as threat! They shall become my minions, or they will become my prey. My enemies might have won a battle, but the war is still raging, away from the plain sight. Sooner or later, I shall bring it back to them, more powerful than ever!

Paper Sorcerer is a stylish single player turn based RPG focused on strategy, party-building, and environmental puzzles. Fight with the skills and spells you've learned in a battle system that emphasizes strategy over grinding. Assemble a party of monsters and dark creatures to fight alongside you. Explore and solve environmental puzzles to unlock secret paths and find extra loot! A double-sided adventure, an RPG with adventure game elements. Please note that the Paper Sorcerer Mini-Guide and Artbook will be added soon to the game shelf.

Dive deep in to the fascinating and surprisingly colorful (for a mostly monochrome game) world of Paper Sorcerer, for only $3.99 on GOG.com. The 20% release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, June 3, at 9:59AM GMT.
I too picked it up on a bundle, though I'll probably grab it here again too. Just because. Ah the ultimate reason known to the universe "because"

tburger: Meh..it's just not the same.
Do you honestly read the manuals? I thought it is mantra of modern game design + some classic ones (like Black&White) that player should not need the manuals and basics of everything should be explained in tutorial, in one way or another.

I only "read" manual scans once - to see the pictures.
For everything else I consult the Internet.

Yes I DO! Of course not on paper (usually I do it on my eBook reader)...and for oldies only...But I consider it as a great fun - sometimes even better than the game itself. That's why I'm complaining when GOG releases classic without a manual.

I read only one manual like that, for fun - that for Redneck Rampage - because it is hilarious! :D
To each their own, I guess :)
Looks like a cool game. Bought.
Looks nice. How's the difficulty?

lol if gog had signatures (don't you dare, ever!) that would be a great one.

They had for a small time frame (a day?). Dev site pushed into live, got revoked quite soon.

Yes. Lack of manuals (which becomes a standard nowadays) make me sad. I like to discover and learn or get into the details of a game, or check something, without launching the game. Or having to repolay the tutorial (is it what we're supposed to do nowadays?).

I remember... That was a close call that day. I count us lucky. :)
Good to see this made it to GOG, I was just one of many who believed it belongs here. Very enjoyable game, with a good storyline and fun playstyle. Bought it immediately, in spite of having it (and having beat it) from elsewhere.

I do have one question - is the dev still working on bug fixes? I encountered a disappointing bug with the "star metal" quests that I hope is resolved in this version, or if not, will be soon. I can post more details about that in the dedicated forum if necessary.

Regardless, glad it's here, and I can still strongly recommend it to the RPG fans here.

Yes, it was. Known issues with that one?

We have version 2.3 on our site, so if your game was a lower version than that then the bugs are possibly fixed in our version.
