A game with eight legs to stand on!

Octodad: Dadliest Catch, a heart-touching story of a Nautical-American struggling to be the best parent and husband dry land has ever seen while keeping his true nature from his loved ones, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for the first week.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about daily life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. In this original, imaginative indie title, you'll be challenged to live through a full day in Octodad's life, and even venture outside the house. There's tons of physics toys to play with. Jointed objects, springs, slippery surfaces, and more! Combine that with visual style inspired by the American 1950's aesthetic (but with futuristic twists), and what you get is an appealing bundle of slapstick fun you will never forget.

Wrap oll of your available arms around Octodad: Dadliest Catch on GOG.com, for only $11.99. The 20% off release discount offer lasts until Thursday, February 6, at 5:59PM GMT.

Crosmando: I don't believe it's possible for homo sapien and octopus to reproduce.
Japan disagrees. :P

Lol. I couldn't resist. The setup was perfect. Blame Magnitus for beginning the chain reaction that inevitably led here. :P
how come no body notices and why the kids looks normal and but one thing for sure the wife loves tentacles.
ok looks weird but cool.

johnki: Played through this in co-op today with my girlfriend and I each controlling a side. Hilariously awesome. Difficult at times but it was great.

It only took 2 hours for us to complete but I'd recommend it nonetheless. You won't find another game like it. Plus, there's mod support (on Steam at least, haven't read up on whether the DRM-free version has it) so there's always the chance for more hilarious levels to come out and extend that amount of time!
The devs mentioned on the steam forums that they are going to put the editor and mod support into the gog version. There wont be a nice menu like in steam, but it will recognize mods placed in the right folders.

Magnitus: The game looks cool from the preview video, but something nags me.

Probably pointless to debate this in a imaginary world where an octopus has human-like intellect, can survive outside a body of water, mate with a human and produce viable offsprings, but... how come his kids look 100% human?
He's not really an octopus, he's disguised as an octopus who's disguised as a human. In reality he is Reed Richards and this chronicles his sordid secret life away from his other wife, Susan Richards. For you see, Mr Fantastic is a bigamist!
Haha, the premise is so silly that this game is an instabuy for me! I've played enough grimdark adventure games and RPGs lately so that this one comes as a real refreshment.
I recall seeing this at Walmart as a demo for the PS4. The game itself makes me scratch my head in confusion, as it was never explained at all. The game is explained fairly well by GoG, but unfortunately it seems a little too silly for me to be interested in.
Woo hoo! I am so glad to see Dadliest Catch here, cheers Young Horses and GOG ; )

By the way, are there any plans to bring the original Octodad to the catalogue too? It would be great if that happened : )

It's local co-op so with four Xbox 360 pads you can have 4 people controlling Octodad :D It proved to be a great team building experience by accident :)

edit: yes, each tentacle can be controlled by one person :)
