Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.

Gazoinks: I don't know whether it's a laptop issue or an issue with video card compatibility, but yeah. As far as laptop gaming, I've only encountered issues with Temple of Elemental Evil, Gemini Rue, and this, so it's not really much of a big deal.
By any chance your laptop uses Intel integrated video?

Yep. Intel HD Graphics 3000, according to DxDiag. Is it known as a troublesome card or something?

Leroux: Generally, from what I've read NWN2 can be a bitch to run even on hig end PCs with modern graphic cards; it sounds like it's a bit of a gamble. Maybe it will run fine, maybe it won't. It was criticized a lot for its demanding system spec and doesn't seem to be known for the most effective use of resources.
Understatement of the decade.

It is ok for 2D stuff, but for any program that require 3D graphics/effects I would not recommend it. The problem is not really the hardware, but the video driver (the software that drives the video hardware) that Intel provides for those chips is quite incomplete :/

Hm, that's good to know. I've actually had a pretty good time with the chip, though. Obviously I can't run Crysis or anything, but I played through New Vegas, Evochron Mercenary, and other nice-looking 3D things on it without much trouble.
Awesome! Love it even more than the first. Can't wait to buy it.

Darkcloud: 3 ghz single core. DId even run on my absolutely not for gaming laptop.

jackalKnight: Ah, so 3 ghz is just for Single core (I'm running a dual core i5 with intel HD 4000). I'm guessing this game will run fine when I get around to buying it.
One small problem: The game doesn't work well with multi-core setups too well. When I used to run a 2.2Ghz quad core the game gave me very low FPS[12-15 FPS] in outdoor areas/large battles. Eventually I figured out that the game was only making use of the first core of my CPU, and as such it didn't matter if my overall/averaged CPU "speed" was higher than the game's requirements as the game only made use of one core(Meaning that if you have a multi-core CPU and your "per core speed" is below the game's REQs the game will probably run slowly in outdoor areas/large battles. If you have a 3.0Ghz+ single core CPU or a multi-core CPU with a "per core speed" higher than 3.0Ghz you should be a bit better off.).

haydenaurion: Edit: Though a few posters are mentioning something about how NWN 2 had some problems with ATI/AMD cards, so you might want to get some confirmation.
THIS

Besides the multi-core issues I just mentioned the game also lags on certain video cards(ATI.....though not sure if it's ALL ATI cards or just some.)

As such I again ask the staff here: Have the lag issues on multi-core CPUs/etc been addressed in this version, or are they still present?

Actually it's known as anything BUT a (decent) video card. It's built more for internet browsing/office work/etc....not gaming.

Does the "Neverwinter 2 complete edition" include the in-game bonus content that was available for preorders of the game ("The Merchant's Friend") and lawful/evil editions ("Blessed of Waukeen" feat)?
Great to see Neverwinter Nights 2 and Obsidian Entertainment on GOG.
