Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.
Holy Crap!! I never thought I'd see this here so soon. Awesome!
Everyone should own this game just to play Mask of the Betrayer. The expansion is THAT good.
Yabba-dabba-doo, the release of Neverwinter Nights 2! Thanks, GOG, added to my wishlist!

Fockatar: Hm...do I need another copy?
Well i need one since i don't own it yet . :p

*wishlisted*
How does this stack up with NWN 1? Are the specs a bitch for an older computer (can run most games up to through 2007 depending on size and settings)?
Hmm, here's one I never got around to playing it. Unexpected, wishlisted.
Oooh, glad to see this game finally on here. Will wait for a better sale, hopefully before the next winter holidays =)

I was gonna ask the same thing, as(from memory) NWN2 has almost always been a PITA for me to run.(It does run but usually the outdoor areas run at very low FPS. The indoor areas are usually better though.)

Example: On a Phenom Quad Core(@ 2.2Ghz)/Radeon HD 4670 setup I was getting around 10-15 FPS in outdoor areas(and even lower FPS during large battles). When I eventually upgraded to a Phenom II @ 3.4Ghz/Radeon 5770 I got a slight improvement(around 15-19 FPS) in outdoor areas. (Additional info: I was running the game[fully patched] in 1920x1080 resolution[IIRC] and had all detail options set to maximum.)

I think it has something to do with the game engine not liking Ati cards and/or multi-core CPUs(That and/or that the engine was/is horribly optimized).

A quick question to GOG mods/crew: Have the slow FPS issues been addressed in your version or is it as slow(in outdoor areas/large battles/etc) on systems with multi-core CPUs/Ati cards as other versions?

Vitek: What's going on here? I don't get it? Where asre all those usual complaints about the game not being opld enough. This is 2006 game! DO you hear me? 2006. Only 6 and half year old!

This is not the GOG I used to know. No whining in release thread just doesn't seem right.
Oh no, poor baby, GOG! They get money in exchange for games AND need to please fans with releases THEY want? Who'd have thought?

Can you play The Witcher? It uses a modified version of the same engine so it should provide at least a rough estimate on how NWN2 runs.
Can anyone tell me wether this is a solo adventure or party-based?

Ah, NWN2/The Witcher/Crysis(With everything maxed) - (to the best of my knowledge) a more vile trio of "system benchmarks disguised as games" has never seen the light of day.

To all those with crap CPUs/GPUs/etc, I say this: Run and hide while you still can! 0.o

Not to mention that the Aurora/Electron engines (NWN1/2/Witcher1) weren't exactly very well optimised to begin with and don't run all too well regardless of whether the system barely or easily clears the requirements.

To my knowledge The Witcher is based on the Aurora engine of NWN by BioWare, I'm not sure if it had anything to do with Obsidian's version of the engine. It's not necessarily a good indication of whether you'd be able to run any of them though. I can run NWN just fine, while the Witcher is terribly laggy for me even on the lowest settings, NWN2 ran okay but not great with my old GeForce 7300LE, worse with my current onboard graphic card, but community modules were unplayable for me in both cases due to high lag. (My PC is from 2007, IIRC, but even back then it wasn't a powerful gaming PC.)

Generally, from what I've read NWN2 can be a bitch to run even on hig end PCs with modern graphic cards; it sounds like it's a bit of a gamble. Maybe it will run fine, maybe it won't. It was criticized a lot for its demanding system spec and doesn't seem to be known for the most effective use of resources.
