Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.
Thank you based GoG.

And congratulations on 500 game releases.

Telika: What's the difference between NWN2 and Dragon Age ?

Am asking for real. I've started both, long ago, and now I've completely bluured them and merged them in my memries, plot-wise, gameplay-wise, everything. Do you people tell them apart ? On what aspects ?

I really don't have this issue with any other cRPGs (I have very clear and distinct memories of NMN1, TOEE, TES, Gothic, etc). Is there a reason specific to NWN2 and DA, for this ?
The OC and DA Origins have quite a few things in common. In fact, NWN2's original campaign is the most Biowarian game they've ever done in terms of plot and feel. The overall threat and the companion interactions (minus the romance part which is hardly existant, with one exception where it's somewhat poorly done) are where the resemblance is most visible. So it's understandable that they kinda blur together.

The addons, however, are very diverse and different from the OC. MOTB is almost as dark and bizarre as PS:T was, and it's the best product in this collection, IMO. Storm of Zehir is an open-world adventure with emphasis on exploration and hack&slash, while being light on the story. And Mysteries of Westgate is a short, but still good city-based adventure.

In one game you can set a guitar on fire during a rock concert with a bard, or something like that.

On a more serious note, except for a few moments like that NWN 2 main campaign (not counting expansions) isn't really all tha tmemorable, so you may just have forgotten most of it, and connected it the next game you played.

Simbabluenobi: Just a question while downloading ...
Not to sound stupid or anything BUT what are the three serial numbers for ?
Are they for game activation or Multiplayer ?
And I assume you put one in at the start of the game (or click the multiplayer) and put the other two in when you open the expansions (or click their multiplayer) ....
Just asking while the game is downloading ....

JMich: Assuming it works like it did for NWN1, some (all?) of the servers may require the clients to use a unique cd-key to be able to connect and play. You can ignore the cd-keys and play single player to your heart's content, but for multiplayer you'll need your unique cd-key.
Thank You

RS1978: Thanks mate, but those are patches for the various language versions from the game, not translation packs. There are bugfixes but no voiceovers etc. included. ;)
Okay I see what your saying I guess I should have looked at the patches allot closer.
Okay. I might get it at some point, for the expansions. Not at full price, far from it, given that I already have the core game's retail box (and forgot about it halfway through).
GOG, Hasbro had something to say about the missing premium modules for NWN 1?
Wow! This is HUGE! I had this on Steam but it was lacking Mysteries of Westgate. I'll be getting this to have the entire experience. Thanks GOG!

I've had a lot of fun with Storms of Zehir personally, I got my money's worth from that already :)
Oh Lord! This is awesome! At this rate, we'll be getting lots more of the newer stuff. A dream come true indeed.
Couldn't resist eny more...

I hate you, GOG. So much. (And I'm almost completely serious!)
Wish'd for now, waiting a christmas sale or something.

nijuu: You should be celebrating the arrival of the game instead of have a moan mate. :D
Well, I'm very happy for all the fellow GOGers who were waiting for that game! But that doesn't prevent me to give my opinion (which is just that: an opinion) ;)
What's going on here? I don't get it? Where asre all those usual complaints about the game not being opld enough. This is 2006 game! DO you hear me? 2006. Only 6 and half year old!

This is not the GOG I used to know. No whining in release thread just doesn't seem right.
Let's correct it.
We want old games, not this new and shiny crap.

Btw. wishlisted for now.

Stuff from this era is great in my opinion.

My only concern is that i found Neverwinter Nights 1 to be a dull grind, so i have no interest in it's sequel.
