The cheesiest game you'll ever get addicted to!

MouseCraft, a sleek-looking fun puzzle game that's a lovechild of Tetris and Lemmings with a weird science theme, is available 20% off for Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-Free on GOG.com. That's only $11.99 for the first week!

Science! It makes the world move forward. And the cutting edge of science often operates on the verge of madness. Its the crazy people and their fantastic ideas contribute the most to civilization's progress. Here is a story of such a mad scientist and his revolutionary idea that could lead to ending the global energy crisis. Forget fossil fuels! Mouse-powered devices are the future. Sounds crazy? Well, you need to know that the person behind this concept is a Cat Scientist by the name of Schrödinger. Now, everything falls perfectly into place, just like well-handled tetris blocks!

MouseCraft answers the not-so-trivial question: what a cross between Tetris and Lemmings would look like? It's an A to B puzzle game where players help mice in their relentless quest for cheese by stacking the world's most famous blocks: Tetrominos. Starring: Mad Cat Scientist, Three Blind Mice and tons of irresistibly delicious Cheese. What we have here is a remix of two classic gameplay mechanics: pile up Tetromino bricks to create a safe path for as many mice as possible. With 80 increasingly challenging levels to beat, lots of block types to discover, and adorable animations to behold, this refreshing puzzle title will keep you entertained for hours!

If you're missing the times when puzzle games were big on the PC, and you'd love to see one bringing some neat gameplay concepts along with great-looking graphics, make sure not to miss MouseCraft, for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, July 15, at 1:59AM GMT.

As if "craft" was a word of unique meaning ..

It isn't just the word "craft" that made me think this could be another Minecraft clone. It because of the popularity of Minecraft and the fact that lately a lot of Minecraft type games have come out. And when I saw Mouse + Craft, my imagination ran wild. I was imagining a game, that lets you play as a mouse, building tunnels to escape from hungry cats.

Believe me, it's way easier ignoring such insightful comments then getting annoyed by them - you should try it. :)

Bah, there's a certain one-hit band that should sue them both. ;)

You'd think so, what with there being no other well-known "craft" games out there. I mean, they could have been a real star, the winner of the war. ;)

This seems appropriate. XD

HypersomniacLive: It would appear that devs are so trained to hand out Steam keys, that they operate on autopilot, i.e. they don't handle offering choices to their early supporters too well.

We probably need to use every opportunity and actively raise awareness to our preference and the merits of GOG. :-)
From the way he said it, it sounds like GOG may be asking them to sell people *either* a Steam key *or* a GOG key.

This would be a difficult thing to convince Developers of, especially when a lot of places sell both a Steam key *and* a DRM-free version.

G-Doc: ... as long as the users would get a choice between the GOG.com and Steam version of the game.
Exactly. Most Kickstarters conveniently forget to make a survey when they're accepted by steam and just send out steam keys. I have loads of unused steam keys of Kickstarters lying around. I'll let them rot for good.

Well, it seams some places need to make up their mind on whose side they are on. Or at least make that Steam *or* DRM-free version

I don't know why you are messing with me, simply because my brain automatically connects "craft" to Minecraft and Minecraft clones for good reasons even though there are games like Warcraft and Starcraft, out there. Maybe I should start messing with you for the way your brain works? I have a lot of time on my hands.

OR is this because of something I've said in the past? It is typical of your kind, to hold a grudge for long a time and then wage a passive aggressive war on someone in the forums.

Wow. Okay, I thought you and I were friends here, actually, and was just having fun. Didn't realise this would be interpreted as the opening volley of a "passive aggressive war".

And what exactly is "my kind"?

That is what I thought too so you confused the hell out of me. I guess it's hard for me to pick up when someone is joking around when they are doing so through text only. I'm sorry. Your kind? Now that I know you were just joking around, I don't know what kind of person you are, other than what you've revealed to us so far. Friendly, generous, intelligent, full of knowledge, skilled, political, passionate about games etc.

We all have bad days, and you are correct, it becomes easy to project a different voice on printed text than the one which is intended. I did try to indicate that I was just kidding around earlier with the winking smiley emoticon, but that sometimes isn't enough. Sorry if I phrased my joking poorly, or if I just caught you at a bad time. We all have those times where we're more prone to hearing the bad instead of the good. Heaven knows I do. :)

Sorry for any offense, none was intended pal!
