A cold-pixeled killer.

Metrocide, a relentless top-down single-player arcade stealth-shooter with strong alkaline cyberpunk flavor, is available 15% off for the first week, for Windows and Mac OS X, on GOG.com.

In Metrocide, you are a contract killer T.J. Trench, seeking to buy your way out of Metro City, the cyberpunk dystopia where everyone wants you dead. You will have to negotiate a fierce and brutal city replete with gangs, vigilantes, cops and more, taking out the trash one contract at a time. While cop drones circle overhead, you’ll be sticking to the alleyways with a variety of weapons and plantable explosives finding new and unique ways to get away with murder most foul. But one single slip-up will cost you. There are no respawns here – when you’re dead, you’re dead. Duck and weave through the claustrophobic streets and alleys as a living city does its best to stop you breathing - permanently.

Want to see the game in action? Join BaerTaffy today, at 7PM GMT / 2PM EST / 11AM PST, at , as he becomes T.J. Trench and sets out to find his prey. You'll also have a chance to meet the developer, Leigh Harris, in the Twitch chatroom. He'll be at the stream under the handle "Flatearthgames". Make sure to drop by and give him some appreciation, as he'll be logging in at 6:00AM his local time (Australia), which is quite a heroic feat in our book! (EDIT: Stream ended! I think I saw a dev video for this a while ago. Don't think I expected it to pop up on GOG.
Looks pretty interesting, gonna wait for some reviews though.
6:00AM in Australia, yikes that is the time I leave for work. I hope the dev is getting a good night's sleep. I think that's my cue.

Will be pretty hard to sell this game right at the end of sales. I'm wondering how the stream from BaerTaffy will affect the buying/wishlisting customers options.
Don't wanna be that guy, but since I couldn't find anything related on steam, desura, indiedb, nothing, so I'm asking it here: will there be a Linux version?
Thanks!
Kidding around, but I wished the game looked like it's cover shot. A detective whodunit, with that nice artistry. :P

So you're not the only 'that guy", will there be a Linux version? This looks good.
Hmmm.. It seems I'll have to look better on this one. So far, after watching the trailer & a couple YT gameplay videos, it didn't made me say "wow!". And, where are the cars? Can't see any traffic at all.. :P

yep it does, it surely does!
I'm always (begging) asking for linux ports -if viable, for sure- 'cause, well, linux rocks AND my new mint machine is up and running! And it plays gog games so damn well..

I'm quite anxious about the twitch stream, too :)

edit: and when I see that little penguin there, man... it's always great! :P

I like what I see, will have to consider this. 15% for the first week so I have the weekend to think about it.
I like the idea of being a contract killer, I'll have to check for a demo or something.
For anyone else who couldn't really gather anything from the launch video on the game's page, here's a quick 6-minute gameplay video, with a bit of explanation of what's going on in the game, directly from the developers:

Looks good. I'll try to make a point and watch the upcoming stream!
I wasn't expecting the game to be out of EA so soon, it was released in October i think? Anyway, i'm already stacked for christmas period so this will have to wait but i have to say, the game was 7€ during EA period and it's currently 7€ on Desura so i'll also wait for a similar price (sale) to buy it...

Linux Mint, nice choice. I have two computers, a laptop and a netbook running that.
