Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest, the classic World War II first person perspective shooter with both extensions: Spearhead and Breakthrough, is now available on GOG.com for only $9.99.

There are some memorable moments in the history of computer games. Among them, the Allied forces' landing on the Omaha Beach, depicted in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, remains one of the strongest and most realistic. As an American infantry veteran, Mike Powell, you land on the sandy shore of Normandy to witness a massacre among your fellow troops. The continuous fire of MG 42's cutting through people like hot knife through butter, making it impossible to capture the enemy bunkers. In that deadly chaos, with a Bangalore pipe-bomb clutched tightly in your hand, you make your way towards the far end of German fortifications. The lives of the many, and the success of the entire offensive, literally lies in your hands. That's only one of the many dramatic highlights of this game.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest takes you to the fronts of World War II and let's you take part in some of the allied forces most crucial operations. The game became famous for creating a believable and suggestive image of battle conditions with a real infantry soldier in the role of the game's hero. The War Chest edition includes the original campaign that will take you from German bases in Algiers, through the D-Day landing in Normandy, to the occupied France, and both Spearhead and Breakthrough expansions. With hundreds of carefully scripted events to intensify the action, realistic setting, historic missions, and excellent voice acting (including Gary Oldman as the protagonist of Spearhead), this game will take you on a cinematic, action-packed adventure of a lifetime!

Experience the World War II in its hours of horror and moments of glory in Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest, the critically acclaimed FPS classic, for only $9.99! Do you have what it takes to make Ike proud, soldier?

Roman5: When the first COD game comes here, which I know will happen eventually

Knowing Activision, you can bet your potatoes that it's going to be overpriced like FUCK, just like the steam version

The first game on steam with the expansion, costs 40 Euros

40

FUCKING 40 EUROS
the CoD Warchest costs $30 for 3 games (CoD1, UO, CoD2).

http://store.steampowered.com/app/2620/

that's $10 per installment, $20 for CoD+UO.

and all the Activision games currently available on GOG are either $6 or $10.

neither is "overpriced like fuck".

Roman5: I'm glad that expansions are included in this case, EA has a bad reputation of being the "Expansions missing, sorry about that" Publisher here on GOG
of course you'd blame EA for that, wouldn't you? even though GOG staff never explained why they didn't get the expansions and brushed off inquiries with a blanket "no comment", whereas EA has provided the GOG editions of their games with an incredible number of goodies and very fair pricing. but of course EA is to blame for everything, amirite?

Fair enough

I was just saying the prices for the games individually

Are they ever on sale (50-80% off) on Steam? This could be another case of the publisher deliberately setting the default price quite high, because they might expect most to get it from sales anyway, not with the default price.

At least I would do that if I were to release an old game of mine in some digital service which runs discount promos regularly. :)
Good release, always nice to see a FPS.

However, the game card is wrong. MOH Allied Assault was developed by 2015, not EA. EA developed Spearhead internally only. (Breakthrough was developed by TKO). I feel it is the main game which should have developer credits, not one of the expansions.

Very rarely, from what I've seen, usually once a year during Christmas sales

jamyskis: I still have the German retail version, of course without swastikas and such like. Very tempted to buy this though to play it in English.

Just out of curiosity, how are GOG's legal eagles handling the issue of sales to Germany with regard to this and other WW2 games? I know the GOG version of Bloodrayne at the very least has a modified cross and most of the WW2 games I've played off GOG have iron crosses instead of swastikas.

MoH:AA has the full lot - Hitlergrüße, swastikas, SS symbols, the works. Technically speaking, GOG is breaking the law by allowing it's sale to German customers (not that I personally give a shit).
I wondered this a few days ago, because I was curious if they'd ever be able to even get games like Wolfenstein. I know they sell a couple titles that seemed to have... slipped by somehow ;)

Nice release GOG.
Sweet! i am so happy to see this here. Sorry to hear about the multiplayer not having keys because it is so fun. Fortunately, I have a retail CD with key for the original game so I can use that key.

I expect this will run very nicely in Windows XP VM using Parallels on my Mac but if not, I'll bootcamp for this one.

I was sad not to see a Mac release on the first day after the big announcement last week but oh, well. You can't have everything. I am very, very happy this excellent game is available now on GOG with the expansions I never got to play. I loved the original and will enjoy replaying it again.
Bought the MoHAA War Chest years ago. My problem was that the patches never worked for me (they failed to find the installation despite the fact that they were delivered on the same disc). I assume that problem is taken care of with the GOG release.

And as for MoHAA itself - it's a real love-hate relationship. The game is stupid in zillions of ways but I still like it for some reason. I sure as hell prefer it over CoD.
ha ha ha I think I'm gonna shoot some nazis today! :D

anyways, this game is great... and I've spent a lot of time multiplayering it, too!

MOHAA is fully patched and it doesn't require any patches.
Both expenasions require patching, but they worked without any problems for me.
Nice, I've been waiting for this one since GOG =signed on EA.
at last a true oldie, need for speed next ? :)
