The embodiment of evil is four feet tall.

Lucius, the wicked adventure game of gruesome murders and devil possession that is paying a tribute to the classic Omen movies, is now available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $17.99 until Friday, November 2, at 10:59AM GMT.

Born on June the 6th, 1966 Lucius seemed to be a perfectly normal child until his sixth birthday, when he met his real dad. Well, they didn't exactly had a chance to talk in person, but the boy had a dream in which they spent some quality time together, plotting the demise of all humankind, defying God, and murdering all of Lucius' family and household staff. Does that seem a tad dark to you? Well, that's perfectly normal for a six year old child. That is if his dear old biological dad is the First of the Fallen, the Lightbringer, Lucifer (also known as Satan).

Lucius is a dark, esoteric adventure game in which you witness the unholy exploits of the Antichrist himself, currently occupying the body of a little boy. The orders from below are clear: all of the inhabitants of his family mansion--yes, including the Gardner--must die. Just make it all look like an accident. Otherwise, someone might start to suspect you, the obviously innocent boy with slightly glowing reddish eyes.

Mount the satanic tricycle of doom and ride across the creepy mansion halls in Lucius, for only $17.99.

Theta_Sigma: Edit: did anyone else notice the name of the Detective in image 2? LMAO!!!
HAHA. Brilliant.

This looks really interesting but wishlisted for now.
I watched some gameplay and decided to watch the rest. The whole affair seems very linear, and some controls give trouble even to people, who've already completed the game and record perfect runs.
Finally able to play a devil child.
I hope they make a game like the Exorcist next.
So, after watching through all the missions (a clean run is only 2 hours), can I ask just this one question... Would the plot be completely fucked if the family or the police had a dog? Or if the devs rendered footprints?

Somebody should make walkthrough for this game, i'll watch it from the beginning to the end. This is my kind of game. Interested to know the overall gameplay hours since the size itself it quite small if you consider it as modern game (3GB).

A full run playlist. 2 hours total, with most backtracking avoided with devilish hindsight. No randomly stumbling about the house, looking for that one item the designers want you to use in a specific point. Each murder is about 10 minutes long, and that's with all the cutscenes.

Mind, there's a chance you won't buy the game after watching and seeing that all deaths are pre-set by designers. The game could've been a point 'n' click on AGS engine - most goals are using power A on gizmo B, and plugging in gizmo C.

Yeah, that's the impression I got from the RPS review. A game that's essentially a p&c game (and apparently a fiddly one) disguised as Hitman.

That's pretty short. And based on first 3 missions, i thought the game is bit scripted. Though, it was only the beginning. So i imagine it will become lot complicate at mid point of the game.

I watched the whole thing... There's no "And now you get to unleash those abilities as you see fit" moment. *sobs* You can try, but the kills must be done in scripted order and with scripted items. Hell, if you want a guy to slip on ice, you must pour water at the provided marker. It's like going for Silent Ass in Hitman Blood Money, with no other options available.
This does look good, and I've heard good things. So I've wish-listed as I don't have enough time to play the games I have already buried myself under.

Then, the game is bit underdeveloped. It certainly have the premise and potential. I thought the gameplay will be non-linear, like Ghost Master. If it's too scripted, i'm sure i won't touch it again after first playthrough. Considering the price of the game, i thought it offer you plenty of replay-ability.
Unable to play it as the characters move all over the screen in a strange jerky slow motion., I presume it's my computer, but all other games work fine. What can i do

Try turning down the detail level a couple of notches :D

Then LOD issues could arise :) Like a door appearing in the doorway only after you crossed half the room towards it.

Is LOD supposed to be DOF (depth of field) or am I missing something else entirely? :D
