Survival of the sweetest.

Long Live the Queen, a complex political thriller full of violence, hate, and tough choices, masked by deceptively cute visuals, is available on GOG.com for only $9.99.

Long Live the Queen is a brutal game. Your heroine will try to escape the many dangers awaiting a young heiress to the throne, and will often fail, ending up dead, leaving the kingdom at mercy of it's many enemies. Luckily, you'll be able to back up on your mistakes, probably just to witness another death of the princess. When you're but a child, suddenly burdened by the crushing weight of responsibility, every little decision you make might prove to be your last. This complex and challenging royalty sim will crush your hopes many times, before you manage to protect the princess until the day of her coronation. There are secret plots at play, invaders at the gates, dark magical forces hiding in plain sight, assassins lurking in the shadows, and way too many suitors trying to get their hands on the young heiress' heritage. With non-linear gameplay, and great depth this cute-looking title will take even the most experienced gamer by surprise!

If you thought that the life of a princess is full of bliss, ballroom dancing, cotton candy, and ponies, it's about time you faced the terrifying truth in Long Live the Queen, for only $9.99 on GOG.com.

tajemniczybeton: It seems it is getting Steam release as well so I'm sure it doesn't have any unsavory parts.
is Steam some kind of pedestal of morality now? :D
amusing to read the forum comments, had at least one laugh out loud moment :)

Hmm not sure, but maybe worth considering I do like the odd visual novel. Even if it isn't all that naughty ;P

JudasIscariot: Like I said, I personally went through the game and found nothing in there that was in any way, shape, or form unsavory. Not even a single expletive. I think I did see an ankle, I know, I know, an ankle! I am getting the vapors now...*faints*
Would you consider creating a "Judas plays" video presentation of this one?
Next convince Capcom to port the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series (visual novel adventures) to the PC?

Yes, but I would ensure that I went the evillest path possible XD

Also, the Intrigue boosting outfit is the best outfit. Comes with a badass monocle.
Oh right, I vaguely remember voting for this on Greenlight a long time ago.
Looks interesting, but I'll wait for the reviews and a sale.

Now THAT would be an insta-buy. In fact, I'd settle for them releasing the second Miles Edgeworth game in the west on any platform. Okay, maybe not Wii-U.

Steam doesn't allow AO games and when any country has any problem with any game(for example australia, argentina or russia) they are quickly blocking sales of problematic game in it.

PaterAlf: Don't you think judging the game, because of a single out-of-context picture and a piece of text from the description is a little unfair? How about playing the game to form an opinion?
Forming an opinion from facts and personal experience? What madness is this?

Yeah, it got greenlit a while ago.

Been waiting for this one for a while. I'd really love to see more Princess Maker style games.
Just noticed this game was released by Hanako Games which also made Cherry Tree High Comedy Club. When it appeared on a bundle I could never get a key on the ninja thread because it was always the first game to go, so... maybe HG did some things right and deserve some credit?

BTW, for the people who don't know if they would like it: Get the demo on the developer's page: http://www.hanakogames.com/llq.shtml

Edit: My mistake. This post was just plain wrong.

And GOG lied to us when they said The Witcher 2 would be the same version and price everywhere. Though at least they didn't block the sales.
