Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong!

Lifeless Planet, a suspenseful exploration-focused 3D adventure game in which you explore what appears to be a forgotten Russian off-world colony, is available on GOG.com for $19.99.

Alone in a wasteland, his fellow astronauts missing and his oxygen tank leaking, the astronaut’s situation turns desperate. He begins to explore the planet for his missing crew members... only to discover a deeper mystery: an abandoned Soviet-era laboratory. Was his mission a hoax? Is this really an extra-solar planet or has he been shuttled to a lonely region of Siberia as part of a deceptive propaganda stunt?

Lifeless Planet is a new 3D PC action-adventure that puts players in the moon-boots of a volunteer astronaut on a one-way mission to a life-bearing planet far outside our solar system. But after a rough landing, the promise of a new Earth soon fades with the discovery that the planet he was to explore is now barren and inhospitable. You'll follow a mysterious young woman as she guides you past dangerous terrain and deadly life forms, as you explore 20 unique and atmospheric environments on a vast and treacherous planet. You'll experience an exciting and intriguing story through rich graphics and cinematic cut-scenes, while investigating the startling discovery of an abandoned Russian space colony.

If you're looking for a memorable, otherworldly gaming experience, make sure to pick up Lifeless Planet, for $19.99, DRM-Free on GOG.com.
I see we have a new contender for the 'least helpful first review on a new release' award. :-/

Good GOG I just saw it and came to post on the board here. That is an EXCEPTIONALLY bad review.

Holy crap,
I played the beta (first 6 levels of 20) two weeks ago - it's a very atmospheric first-person platformer/adventure with an interesting story. Gameplay is slow, it's definitely not an action game in any way. But it really did a great job in capturing an atmosphere of desolation and isolation, with an interesting backstory that kept me wanting to explore further.

In the six levels that were available in the beta, the environments were much more varied than I expected. There were sandy desert areas, a deep canyon with a stream (which you traverse by walking across power lines), an indoor base environment, and huge machinery with a bizarre Tesla-like design. I'm really curious what the dev (it is, amazingly, mostly a one-man project) has come up with for the full game!

Holy crap,
Do you think it surpasses "Origen"?

Grargar:
That was adorable, this is just... bad.

"Origen" was the kind of review you want to print out and frame it, this... damn.

This is... lifeless? XD
This is Kurtjmac's take on the pre-release, it got me interested. Spoilers, of course.
Hey gog could you please mark Lifeless planet as completed in the wishlist.

Edit: Thanks for that!

Good release.
There's something really charming and intriguing about this to me, wishlisted.
I've never really been one for adventure games, though I've dabbled here and there. This game, and trailer, has intrigued me.
Hmmm so, this is the release of a game, presented with a video of "pre-release gameplay" ? :x
