Are you hurt? Because you apparently just fell from the sky. Um, my place or your's, angel?

Leisure Suit Larry's Greatest Hits and Misses!, a collection of six adventures that will have you looking for love (in all the wrong places), is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Hey, who is a babe like you doing in a place like this? The correct answer is Larry, by the way. Larry Laffer. Aroused to meet you. I have to confess something: I lost my virginity. Can I have yours? You know, I'm a man, you're a woman--just do the math. By the way, those are very nice legs. What time do they open? Seriously, I'm not Fred Flintstone, but I can make your bed rock. Oh, come on! I'm doing you a favor. I know people who know people who could get you in touch with people who can get you into the movie industry. That's right babe, daddy can make you a star! So, where are we going, your place? What do you mean "stop following you"? This wouldn't be much of a date if I did. What are you talking about, what restraining order? Oh yeah, like that could ever get in the way of true love! You're breaking my heart. Seriously, I will never recover from such loss. Damn. Another one gone. And she was like a solid five. Maybe even a slightly outdated six. Oh, hi! Who is a babe like you doing in a place like this?

Leisure Suit Larry's Greatest Hits and Misses! is your first exclusive chance to play the long lost Leisure Suit Larry 4: The Lost Floppies! Not. Just kidding, the infamous floppies are still missing, and the fourth game of the series remains Al Lowe's sweet mystery. The package, however, includes the following classic adventure games from the chronicles of the wannabe notorious womanizer, Larry Laffer:
-Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards (both the original and the VGA version!)
-Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places)
-Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals!
-Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work!
-Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up Or Slip Out
But that's not all. From GOG.com, the company that likes it cheap and unprotected, you would expect something extra, now wouldn't you? Especially with our milestone 500th release. Something that would make you blush (with excitement). That's why, with the Larry games' collection we give you its spiritual (if that word is even remotely appropriate here) predecessor:
-Softporn Adventure

Are you ready for the ultimate conquest? Don't forget to use your breath spray to feel fresh, minty, and attractive as you take part in Leisure Suit Larry's Greatest Hits and Misses!, for only $9.99.

F4LL0UT: Yeah, but don't forget about the cover showing a naked Roberta Williams with two other women (and a male waiter <.<) in a whirlpool. ;P
The picture doesn't actually reveal anything and I'm sure they all had bottoms on, not that it matters.

Leisure Suit Larry is tame adult humor, it doesn't even approach what I'd call "toilet humor." I'm surprised there is even any negative conversation about these games. If someone cannot appreciate the good fun these are intended in, well that is their loss I guess. As someone else pointed out, it is Larry who plays the fool here, not the ladies, not unlike real life many times. lol

This is one of those cases where if you don't have something nice to say, why say anything? I personally am glad to see the games here, plan to buy them and I'm sure I'll have some good laughs at Larry's expense just as intended.

Telika: I for one am quite indifferent. I had enjoyed the 1st as a kid, because it was a bit weird and different, and I had liked the 2nd because... well, because it was not different at all (it's a standard adventure game). And got bored somewhere middle in the 3rd. But they now all benefit from the aura of reminding me of that friend...
Personally I only played LSL1, 6 and 7 (the German voice acting in LSL7 was some of the best German vocal work I've ever heard in a game, btw - especially Larry and the narrator were hilarious). Never got far in LSL1 (and IIRC I died a lot) but I beat the last two and enjoyed the hell out of them. Sadly they don't remind me of anything or anyone special... except for sad lonely days in a male teenage virgin's life... thank God that's over. <.<

DukeNukemForever: About Age-Verification: There are shortcuts to get through them, something like ctrl+x (not exactly sure). Because this combination is used already in scummvm it's something like alt+x or alt+shift+x. There is also someting similar for LSL2 and later releases.

About the sexism-debate. The only idiot in the game is male (Larry) and in most cases the females are shown as the smart who trick him. I believe something like that said Al in his interview with Matt Barton and I have to agree here. So yes, the humour is sometimes "special", but the games itself are not really offensive.

tfishell: And, you know, there's always the option of not buying them. :-P
Nah, I didn't wanted to tell others what they should like or buy, tastes differ for good reasons. It's just that you can hear this prejudgement the series would be sexists very often. It's not, or better not in the way many would assume it in the first place ;-) The humour is special, kind of slapstick, but not very rough or crude.

Nah, they actually were fully nude (that's at least what Wikipedia says). Well, not that it matters... <.<

Well, can't say that all the jokes are in great taste and think that at least some stuff qualifies for toilet humor. Heck, in Larry 6 there's literally toilet related jokes including the ability to spend an eternity on the crapper, IIRC accompanied by the proper sounds as well as the option to urinate on all sorts of objects. But yeah, generally the LSL series is cleverer than that. And agree that the fact alone that Larry is the big looser you will almost exclusively laugh at makes accusations of sexism rather unfounded. I always considered Larry's unattractiveness and clumsiness kind of a joke at the average LSL player's expense in the first place. Since we still laughed, so should women.

JudasIscariot: The answers are included with the games :D. You should find them in the Start menu :D.
Start menu?

EDIT: Ohhh, you probably mean the Windows start menu. I don't have one of those handy at the moment. Are the answers hidden somewhere in the Mac app?

Austrobogulator: So, which one is the 500th game?
avatar
Stooner: I guess it's the Softporn one...
IT looks like Softporn is included.
Nice to have in my collection....
No pixel boobs on the front page for the release of Leisure Suit Larry? I am shocked and appalled, GOG.

My bad, my reading comprehension is just terrible lately.

I've never had the chance to play, so hopefully it's not completely terrible.

I do wish they would find that missing floppy though, I'm sure it's full of boobs.

What's the difference between a woman and a computer? A woman just won't accept a 3 1/2" floppy. Hey-oh!

Neither I... Softcore is not for me, I'm more of a hardcore person...

yeah, of boobs and moths, I'm sure...
WOW, wasn't really expecting this classic series to be released so early in the new year, yes i knew eventually it would be released here just not this early.

Easily the best release on GOG since i joined last March, absolutely love these adventure LSL games, have all the boxed versions, the third is very underrated, some of my fondest memories playing a game, just had to play it all the way through and complete it, just let me tell you the ending is hilarious :)

Very fitting as the 500th release on GOG, ignore the moaners and thank you for such a classic series available on your great Digital Download service, it will bring lots of new fans to the series before the release of the new game, can see it being a very high seller on your site in the year ahead. :)
For me that's a solid five-star. Great release!
This game is not my cup of tea, but nice to see it finally released here. :)
