Brandon, I have your saw!

Legend of Kyrandia, an unforgettable, classic point-and-click adventure game packed with wondrous locations, mythical creatures, and downright evil sense of humor, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Welcome to the wonderful kingdom of Kyrandia, a land of astounding beauty, home to countless enchanted creatures and spellbinding locations. Alas, dark clouds gather on the horizon: Malcolm, the court jester, has done something terrible and the magical realm will never be the same again. Unless you, Prince Brandon, can achieve the impossible and outfox the demented joker. Remember when adventure games challenged you to beat them, without cutting you any slack? Remember when you had to draw a location map not to get lost in the maze, or were wary of crossing a funny-looking bridge, in fear of falling to a terrible death? Legend of Kyrandia, in all its classic charm and glory, is the epitome of those games.

Legend of Kyrandia is one of the gems of the classic adventure games era. First in the series of three titles, it established the original setting of Kyrandia, a land of unparalleled beauty, and, at the same time, menacing dangers. Celebrated for its unique tone of mischievous humor and inventive quests, it has also been considered a milestone in adventure games evolution. The game introduced innovative elements to the genre, with extremely simple interface and creative use of inventory items. It also made you suffer and die in many imaginative ways (one of them including a particularly charming slasher smile and a very sharp saw).

Prepare for some old-school questing and lose yourself (literally) in a perilous kingdom of Kyrandia, get Legend of Kyrandia, for only $5.99 on GOG.com!
Awesome! Always wanted to play that one, have been intrigued by it ever since I saw screenshots of it in an Amiga mag as a kid. The pic of the guy who has been turned into stone has been haunting me ever since.

And more Westwood titles are always friggin' welcome. Keep 'em coming!
Wishted until I see the weekend promo. Been a good week here.

Crosmando: For christsakes GOG please finish off EA backlog, I don't know how you can talk of new publishers when you haven't finished with the ones you've got, meaning Westwood, Bullfrog and Origin remaining backlog.

~~*bring remaining Westwood games to GOG*~~
I have yet to see any comment from you in any thread that is not complaining, bitching, yelling, full of negativity, or cursing. If this website and this company makes you that way and unhappy, perhaps its time to move on? Or you can start your own digital download service and publish any game that you feel like. Why don't you show GOG how easy it is? Maybe they can learn a thing or two from your methods, which I'm sure are full of tact and professionalism.
Glad to see this here, but not the Westwood title most of us were hoping for *cough* Red Alert 2 *cough*
Nice, more Westwood games. After Nox and Lands of Lore, I guess only remains the RTS titles (C&C and Dune)

Nope - Dune. :p

You sound like a little snowflake insecure girl. Also a fanboy. It's called constructive criticism. GOG ~need~ criticism so they do their jobs, the fact that classic games are getting onto GOG so damn slow (Westwood's backlog should of been here years ago since EA has been a publisher here for a long time) is a crime.

Yes, I'm sure the yesmen and fanboys will love GOG for releasing 1 classic game a week if we're lucky, but don't kid yourself, at the pace of 1 classic/old game a week GOG will be lucky to get "every" (or at least most) classic game here by the time the Sun runs out of hydrogen.

Edit: Also how am I being negative exactly, I posted a guide to get Roland sound working with this game, which is more than you helped in this thread.

First off, nothing about any of your comments can be mistaken for constructive criticism..they are hateful and antagonistic comments every single time.
And again...as I said, feel free to stop coming here if their schedule upsets you on such a regular basis. And also, feel free to start up your own company and show GOG how quickly you can get Westwood games published for yourself. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes that most of us have no idea about and yet all you think it takes is some yelling, screaming and hand waving to magically get the games to appear in the catalog.

And I do like snowflakes...they are peaceful and serene - you must have NO idea what those words mean, do you? As for the fanboy comment that was obviously coming from someone with a grown up vocabulary like yours...not at all. My comments are more 100% anti-you than even 1% pro-GOG.

That is nothing but opinion and conjecture. The more likely root of the problem is your lack of thick skin and being a little girl.

Feel free or what, chap? Do you own this site and forum? I will post where I wish.

I already do, Crosmando's Old DOS Games Shop. Notable Services: D-Fend Reloaded, DOS Box, Abandonware sites. Customers: 1

And while it remains behind closed doors all we can do is speculate and complain. But I can say that the current rate of classics, especially when there's establish publishers already on GOG, isn't acceptable to me or many others here. I'll guarantee you one thing though man, the propensity of my complaining will be directly proportional the amount of classic games released on GOG weekly. The more classics, the less complaining, science!

A snowflake is formed when water freezes around a lump of dirt, no? But I digress, I am referring to people who try to make every place they frequent on the internet a hugbox where no one is allowed to show emotion or opinion for fear of upsetting someone's little world. Those who are allergic to opinion.

Butthurt detected.
Personally, I don't want to see a ton of new / old games released all at once. The 2-4 a week we get now is awesome. It shows that they have a continuing schedule of more releases, and I like to guess at what they will be. If we got every EA game ever released all at once, sure it would be nice to have the option, but I can't play them all at once, now can I afford them. This way, I get a steady stream of nice games, from many different publishers, so my joy and love of vintage gaming doesn't diminish.

Heck, as it stands, I have a backlog of a few hundred games I need to play through. By the time I get a few played, maybe the last two games will be released. If not, I will go play some HOMM 2 some more and wait for the next release.

That being said, stop complaining that you don't like GOG's release schedule. If you don't like it, don't buy from them and find someone else that is willing to sell you these games, at these prices, DRM-Free.
You guys should stop being mean to each other and play some unEpic. It's almost as good as beer and hummus.

No... this is still GOG, so get some vintage Heroes of Might and Magic 2 LAN play going on. It works fairly awesome with Hamachi or any other VPN systems.

I'd be down with that, so to speak, as well. Love those games!

In that case, I think we should set up a time to play.
When ScummVM added support for this a while back, I dug out my old CD's and went to play it, only to find that my disc for game one had apparently gone bad and could no longer be recognized by any optical drive I attempted to use it in. Great to see it here!!
