The anti-hero with a symbiotic blade returns with a vengeance.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/legacy_of_kain_soul_reaver_2]Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2, fallen vampire’s personal vendetta turned into a video game, is available on GOG.com right now for $5.99.

Just two months ago GOG.com released Soul Reaver and you had a chance to meet Raziel, a vampire-turned-wraith reanimated in the Spectral Realm by The Elder God in order to kill Kain. Well, the fight is not over as Raziel needs to go back through time and continue his quest to destroy the almighty vampiric lord. Soul Reaver 2 picks up at the moment Soul Reaver left off--you’ve chased down Kain to kill him, he’s gone through some sort of time portal. And now it’s time to settle the score. However cliche the story might seem, Soul Reaver 2, even though it’s a combat-focused third-person action adventure, offers a brilliantly written and very intelligent gothic story. The characters, interactions, and tension between them are deep and provide very satisfying interludes between the bread and butter of the game, which is devouring Raziel’s enemies as he makes his way to a reckoning with his creator.

With a great story, beautiful graphics, and a lot of puzzle / platforming elements, Soul Reaver 2 is something more than your usual action-oriented romp. Drift away and kill some extra-dimensional demons in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 for just $5.99 on GOG.com.
Nice was wondering when this was going to pop up and at 5.99 to boot. Was worried that it would be in the 9.99 range
Nice. I have Soul Reaver (though I believe my niece lost the disc) and Defiance, but not Soul Reaver 2. I may well be picking this up.

macuahuitlgog: I want the first game in the series, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.
When it comes down to omens, Dark Omen is on the top of my list :-P
Really nice, I'm having a hard time controlling myself to not buy it now.
Hope Blood Omen will be released soon, it'd be instabuy for me.

Sinizine: If there's any delay it may be technical or because they don't see the Blood Omens selling that well (first is pretty dated, 2nd is not well regarded).
Blood Omen has a hell of a lot of plot though which is continued in the sequels.... you miss out on a lot of what's going on if you don't play the first and without playing it there's a lot of what? moments in the sequels, especially Defiance. The series has always had a convoluted plot and Blood Omen's has the most major points that are touched on in later games. It's a different type of game yes, but it's a good game in it's own right and there are far worse games on this site.

Also pretty dated? This site was dedicated purely to old games :P you'll find a majority of the releases are 'dated'.

Talking in the context of why Square Enix is delaying it. Gog can't just conjure up magic fairy dust and have them release it. Not really disagreeing with you on the content of the games. They clearly think Soul Reaver is the more popluar title (and it is) and thus are giving it priority.
Awesome! The best title in the Legacy of Kain series...

It probably is down to how difficult it can be to get Blood Omen working, but like I say there's a lot of plot developments that are important down the line. Soul Reaver didn't have all that much development in the face of the overarching plot and was quite self contained for the first 2/3rds of the game but Soul Reaver 2 does start to delve into it.
