Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, the ultimate package containing the Armored Princess campaign and many extensions, is available on GOG.com 40% off! That's only $14.99, until Thursday, January 17, at 10:59AM GMT.

Sir Gilbert, the defender of Endoria, is nowhere to be found and the realm is in need of a new hero. Or a heroine. Princess Amelie steps in and takes on the mantle of the prime knight. So begins her amazing, and sometimes dangerous, journey through the many mysterious corners of the land she calls home. Theres much at stake, as the dark forces that threatened the people of Endoria in the past are gathering once more. Actually, even conquering them won't be the end of the Armored Princess' struggle. There's always another quest ahead, when you're the hero.

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY consists of the basic Armored Princess campaign, the Crossworlds expansion and plenty other add-ons, like the Orcs on the March, and Champion of the Arena, so you can expect to spend many hours in the gorgeous, magical realm of Endoria. A real treat for any fan of Heroes of Might and Magic type of games, mixing strategy and RPG elements. Make sure not to miss it!

Set out on your great adventure in the beautiful high-fantasy realm of Endoria! Get Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, for only $14.99, this week only!

timppu: I can't, because Amazon does not sell it to me. And for me, comparing retail versions to digital versions is partly apples to oranges. Are you sure the retail version does not have any copy protection either? If it does, I don't consider it DRM-free.
EBAY not amazon. And yes, this is completely drm free retail release (i have it on my shelf).

ps. and this KB on amazon, which you've posted, is NOT the same

timppu: At the same time, Steam sells Armored Princess for 17€ ($22.27) and Crossworlds for 15€ ($19.65), which adds up to 32€ ($41.91). Compared to $41.91, $25 doesn't sound that bad at all. :)

Pheace: Steam does bundles though. King's Bounty platinum is $30, and that's Legends + Armored Princess + Crossworlds. So it's really not as far off as you're making it seem at all.
I was comparing apples to apples, not apples to oranges like you. I have KB: Legends already.

And I think Steam's King's Bounty Platinum is actually 30€ ($39,29) to you too, unless you've moved out of Netherlands.

*I* am comparing apples to oranges... sure ... not like you were overrepresenting when you said the 2 games were 40+ when they can be gotten for 30 in a bundle with yet another game, not at all....

And yes, I'm in the Netherlands still so yeah, if you want to go that route then the latest sale price on Steam for the bundle with 3 games was still less than 10 dollars versus 15 for just the two here. And for anyone paying in dollars it's even better.

Hey kiddies, calm down again... ;-)

Pheace: Even better, that platinum was $7,50 on the last sale it had.
And I am sure the GOG version will also have steeper discounts than the current 40% one. And anyway, the message I was replying to was comparing the default price.

What does that even mean? Why wouldn't I go that route? Since I live in EU, of course I am comparing the prices the two sites are offering to _me_. I couldn't care less if e.g. the Russians can get it from Steam for a fraction of prize due to regional pricing, or if you can get the game for free from PBay.

Instabought! The Legend was one of the best examples of 'a game I didn't know I wanted' so this release is a no-brainer for me.

Welcome to GOG. Where when you are unhappy with what we offer, it is your fault.

They should put that on stickers.

deonast: In that case my mind may have filtered them out if I saw them. I tend to stick to DRM free, I'm funny that way, not trusting that a service won't go bust or do something really iffy in the future. DRM leaves a restriction that could always come back to bite you in the future. Steam probably won't go under any time soon, unless their executives embezzle funds and mismanaged the company. You never know.

Tizzysawr: There has to be a point where DRM-free stops being the better option, however. Like when this game has gone down all the way to $3 on sites with DRM, making the DRM-free version of it cost you five times more.
That completely depends on the purchaser. I'll always pay a premium for DRM-free versions of the titles I want. As far as I'm concerned, the DRM'd versions might as well not even exist, as they don't register on my radar at all.

It's crazy the age we live in, where one can complain about the fact that an awesome, well made turn-based RPG (released DRM-free no less) isn't $3. WHAT!? Maybe my shock is derived from the fact that I'm not entirely on the Steam bandwagon (though I personally have no problem with Steam) and thus haven't been spoiled by their seasonal sales.

As we are specifically talking about pricing: if you are somehow unable to vote with your wallet, then yes it is your fault.

That's what people do with other sites anyway, without constant bitching.
Better 24,99 USD than unavailable.
I liked the original early nineties King's Bounty, but I considered King's Bounty The Legend an awful, boring game. I can't be seen near this one.

It's not your fault, it's your decision. At the moment they offer the package at the exactly same "regular" price then all other shops. The 40% off is a good sign that gog will maybe give also an higher pricedrop then the usual 50% or 60% . Like Telltale 1c decided to go the road to keep high regular prices combined with high pricedrops on sales - it's there business decision to go that way, not gogs. So, as long we don't see this game on sale no one can really say if the game, compared to other shops, is overpriced or not. Maybe this whining about higher prices is helpful, but to be honest I'm kind of tired to read such discussions for every game that starts at a higher regular pricepoint.

Well, it will probably go -75% or -80% some day.
Whatever .... Right now it is 14.99 here at GOG. Picked it up minutes after I saw it advertised on Facebook.
One of those games that I'm always vaguely thinking about getting, without actually getting it. Maybe this time ...?
