Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, the ultimate package containing the Armored Princess campaign and many extensions, is available on GOG.com 40% off! That's only $14.99, until Thursday, January 17, at 10:59AM GMT.

Sir Gilbert, the defender of Endoria, is nowhere to be found and the realm is in need of a new hero. Or a heroine. Princess Amelie steps in and takes on the mantle of the prime knight. So begins her amazing, and sometimes dangerous, journey through the many mysterious corners of the land she calls home. Theres much at stake, as the dark forces that threatened the people of Endoria in the past are gathering once more. Actually, even conquering them won't be the end of the Armored Princess' struggle. There's always another quest ahead, when you're the hero.

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY consists of the basic Armored Princess campaign, the Crossworlds expansion and plenty other add-ons, like the Orcs on the March, and Champion of the Arena, so you can expect to spend many hours in the gorgeous, magical realm of Endoria. A real treat for any fan of Heroes of Might and Magic type of games, mixing strategy and RPG elements. Make sure not to miss it!

Set out on your great adventure in the beautiful high-fantasy realm of Endoria! Get Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, for only $14.99, this week only!

photoleia: Also, GamersGate,while client free, still carries the SecuROM infected version.

DukeNukemForever: The exact same release (Crossworlds GOTY) is drm-free. They first released a broken version (guess they got just a cd-rip from 1c) which asked for a cd and wasn't patched to the latest version, but they fixed it. I know it, because I was waiting for a long time to get Crossworlds drm-free and bought it on the first sale ;-) I believe I bought it for a similar price gog is selling it right now, because I really wanted it and so I paid a little bit more then my personal cap of 10€ for one computer game.
Yeah, but when you get a GOTY version with expansions and stuff you can convince yourself it's more than *one* game ... :)

stoicsentry: It looks like gamersgate charges $29.95 US for this title. That's more than GOG's full price.

Why are people freaking out so much?
Because we're still recovering from the holiday sales and where even $5.99 looked expensive. XD

haydenaurion: So, which would you guys recommend if I only want to get one? This or The Legend? Skimming over some reviews, they seem think this one is an improvement over The Legend.
The Legend, By far, no doubt about it.
Being a big fan of Kings Bounty since I've played the first one on the Genesis, I can assure you that The Legend is epic and Armored Princess is a piece of ####, they made great improvements on The Legend, like the rage box, where you can use your rage to summon a inter-dimensional demon and in Armored Princess they put a cute baby dragon on it's place, it looks like Lilo and Stitch (the only difference is that Lilo does have huge boobs), and there's a lot of other details like in the Legend you can marry and have babes, on the Armored Princess you can't, well in other words if you are under 8 and like Disney the Armored Princess is for you, if you are above 8 and don't like Disney go with the Legend and you surely won't regret.

Come on, gameplaywise they are identical. If you call the same game in a slightly different setting a POS because a cute dragon you might have some deeper problems.
Judging by the screenshots, they didn't change the graphics a single bit... or I have played this game already. But nay, I think it was Legends. Kings Bounty is definitely a nice strategy, only a bit repetetive and boring from the third or fourd map on.

As it seems they didn't really add anything new, so I guess I'll skip it because I played enough Kings Bounty in my life.
The game needs a lot of polishing and funding, fan mods instead of official patches is too much
First one crashes on me, so nah...
Bah. Figures that this came out AFTER the holiday sale on Steam where I picked up AP and Crossworlds for $4.99 each. I own the Gog version of The Legend already and have been dutifully waiting for the rest. Unfortunate it is...
I just added this to the request list recently (mainly on behalf of someone else). I think it's the only game I ever added.

I feel pretty potent right now.

It would probably have to be 80% off for me to buy it, though, especially with the backlog of games I have already.

Every excuse is allowed, especially after purchase, so you're absolutely right here ;-)

Slightly different? Identical? are you blind or what? Have you really played both of 'em?
And "JUST" a cute dragon, I mean, really? It's like they have Chuck Norris and then they put Justin Bieber on his place, if you think that after they changed the demons on the rage box for a cute baby dragon the game is still the same, you are the one with enormously deeper problems, for you it would probably be the same if they have changed the rage box for my little pony, sorry to say that, but you really sounded like a Brony.

I like Armored Princess the best. They're both good, but AP has some major improvements over The Legend, (which I could probably write a long post about). They are similar games, though. Same engine and all. Can't go wrong on either!

And I don't know why Clawdeath's opinion is so low of AP! Yes, you get a baby dragon, which is cuter than summons in The Legend. However, that thing can tear it up! It doesn't attack with parasols and candy canes! Actually, I dislike trying to manage 4 different summons. And you get the dragon right away.

Jamotide's comment is pretty spot on, the gameplay is identical - a real-time strategic map with (lots of) turn-based tactical combats.

For those considering this or King's Bounty The Legend, this offers:
* better translation (maybe a downside to those who enjoyed laughing at the prose in The Legend);
* more monsters (lizardmen notably);
* more spells;
* more music soundtracks;
* several changes to the skiils purchased with runes;
* achievements which provide in-game benefits - fight enough battles without loss and you gain Leadership bonuses;
* a few more "big boss" combats;
* a useful special ability (transport-related, trying not to be a spoiler) gained mid-game.

Yes, the Rage powers (and their over-the-top graphics) have been replaced with a cute dragon (which can level-up and gain abilities as the Rage spirits did) and not everyone will like that change. But there is a great deal more to Crossworlds/Armored Princess than that.

And when Amazon (for at least the second year in a row) had King's Bounty Platinum for less than $9, which includes everything. (Not DRM-free, however.)
Nevermind, I should not get involved in internet arguments.
