The many adventures of the Armored Princess in the realm of Endoria!

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, the ultimate package containing the Armored Princess campaign and many extensions, is available on GOG.com 40% off! That's only $14.99, until Thursday, January 17, at 10:59AM GMT.

Sir Gilbert, the defender of Endoria, is nowhere to be found and the realm is in need of a new hero. Or a heroine. Princess Amelie steps in and takes on the mantle of the prime knight. So begins her amazing, and sometimes dangerous, journey through the many mysterious corners of the land she calls home. Theres much at stake, as the dark forces that threatened the people of Endoria in the past are gathering once more. Actually, even conquering them won't be the end of the Armored Princess' struggle. There's always another quest ahead, when you're the hero.

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY consists of the basic Armored Princess campaign, the Crossworlds expansion and plenty other add-ons, like the Orcs on the March, and Champion of the Arena, so you can expect to spend many hours in the gorgeous, magical realm of Endoria. A real treat for any fan of Heroes of Might and Magic type of games, mixing strategy and RPG elements. Make sure not to miss it!

Set out on your great adventure in the beautiful high-fantasy realm of Endoria! Get Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, for only $14.99, this week only!

Densetsu: Better 24,99 USD than unavailable.
it's not like GOG is the only place to purchase games digitally.

anyway, i got all 3 King's Bounty games in the 1C Complete Pack from GamersGate. that was around €20 für some 85 games... even if i hadn't bought that bundle, i'd have picked up the King's Bounty series on Steam @ 75% off (€7.50 for 3 games). some of the King's Bounty games were also in "indie" bundles recently.

feel free to pay a premium for the "DRM-free" label. i won't.
Almost all the series is available in GOG now, except Warriors of the North, which is a steamworks title.

And maybe someday we will see also the original King's Bounty here (the 1990 one)
Might just have to pick this up...
I was waiting for this one, but now I've already bought it elsewhere.

here's an interesting deal, too: http://www.getgamesgo.com/product/kings-bounty-platinum-edition

all 3 games (minus the latest) for $5.49. good thing about GetGames is that you get to pay in dollars if you're from "the rest of the world", that is, neither Great Britain nor European Union.

Adzeth: Is that the armored princess in the pictures? Because she doesn't look all that armored.
She looks pretty armored, after looking at fantasy book covers from the sixties and seventies. That has to count for something. :p

that game is awesome, but that armor looks impractical

Steam is not DRM free though. Also, GamersGate, while client free, still carries the SecuROM infected version. The GetGames version you list below says it only has Key-code activation, but it also more likely than not has SecuROM as well. In addition, these sites have a non-updated version that is (atleast on the "box") is garunteed compatible through Vista. Those are some pretty important side notes. So yeah, you can get it elsewhere, but it won't be DRM free.

It is your prerogative to purchase a DRM version elsewhere. For me, however, until I can find a DRM-free version it doesn't matter.

I love everything about this conversation.

assassin33: Also for some reason my mind want to always read Crossworlds as crosswords and it drives me nuts.

deonast: I know exactly what you mean, I read that the first time I saw it. But you should never say a crossword against something or people will think you bitter :)
I did the same thing. I was like ... wait ... Even now I'm still misreading it.

So, which would you guys recommend if I only want to get one? This or The Legend? Skimming over some reviews, they seem think this one is an improvement over The Legend.

SimonG: Welcome to GOG. Where when you are unhappy with what we offer, it is your fault.
Dude, you've gotten pretty weird recently. Well, let's say even weirder. :P

The exact same release (Crossworlds GOTY) is drm-free. They first released a broken version (guess they got just a cd-rip from 1c) which asked for a cd and wasn't patched to the latest version, but they fixed it. I know it, because I was waiting for a long time to get Crossworlds drm-free and bought it on the first sale ;-) I believe I bought it for a similar price gog is selling it right now, because I really wanted it and so I paid a little bit more then my personal cap of 10€ for one computer game.

It looks like gamersgate charges $29.95 US for this title. That's more than GOG's full price.

Why are people freaking out so much?
This is also a newer title, hence a higher price than older games? The amount of gameplay in this will more than make up for this sale price.
