Kunovski: I've only read that it's an "unusual" adventure game that focuses on atmosphere and that nothing is what it seems... the first episode got rating of 9/10, and that (and the screenshots) are all I need to know :)
it does look pretty good.
^_^

and the worse flame threads are about where is act 3, so apparently many have played 1+2 and REALLY want to play 3.

gog wins today. great releases.
This looks really good but they're certainly taking their time releasing each act., so I'll stick to my usual system of waiting for the entire season to be released before buying it. Glad to see it available here.

damien: apologies if I'm asking the obvious but wtf is season pass?

Kunovski: you pre-purchase the whole series so you'll get the remaining episodes when the devs finish them :)
I'm a bit cynical today, sorry - but one could say if the devs finish them.

From Wiki:
Release date(s):

January 7, 2013 (Act I)
May 31, 2013 (Act II)

Seems they're a little bit behind, hm? And still three episodes to come...this may take some time.

I'll also wait and see if all episodes get completed and if they're any good.
And then I'll probably wait for a sale.

Erm,...sorry, I think, I don't understand your question.
At first, I thought 'no'. Then, I looked at it again and thought 'kinda'. I'm stuck on 'maybe' right now but I don't know if I can make up my mind before the special offer is over.

well, both acts I and II were scheduled to be released last year, and they are available now, so they must have been released last year...

or are the acts not the same as episodes? (meaning that each "act" contains 5 episodes?)

Acts = episodes in this case :)

They call their episodes acts - I call 'em episodes...after all, it's called episodic release, not "actic" release.

Might be interesting. Adventures with emphasis on storytelling is always a good thing. So I wait until the five episodes are out and then base my decision on reviews of all these episodes.
I played the first two acts from a firend that own the Steam version of the game...and I found it boring.
The story is...interesting, nothing more.
But there isn't a gameplay.
It's only a visual novel, and Act2 was something around 15 minutes long.

This is not the kind of adventure with puzzles to solve. It's more of a mystical, lynch-esque, unhasty story thing where you want to stop all the time to let the atmosphere sink in.
