The New Definition of a Boombastic Jazz Style!

Jazzpunk, a short-and-sweet first-person perspective adventure that dares to be both jazzy and punky (and weird; mostly weird), is available 20% off DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows and Mac OS X. That's only $11.99 for the first week.

Jazzpunk is a comedy adventure set in an alternate reality Cold War World, plagued with corporate espionage, CyberCrime, and sentient martinis. Gameplay is inspired by spoof comedy films and cartoons of yesteryear, with a focus on weird gadgets, exotic locales, and open-world style exploration. This original title comes packed with more exotic features than could possibly be enumerated here, and looks nothing like your everyday computer game. It's probably the best if you take a look for yourself!

Jazzpunk release trailer

Like what you see? Bet you do! What are you waiting for? Grab Jazzpunk this instant, for only $11.99 on GOG.com. The special 20% off release discount offer lasts until Friday, February 14, at 1:59PM GMT.

This actually looks kind of awesome.

IAmSinistar: This is a surprise, both the release day and the unheard-ness of the title itself. I looks weirdly interesting, though the price is a bit off-putting. Still, will wishlist it for now. Might be one of those games that ends up in a bundle within a month, though...
It was released just today - see here.
It also got nominated for the Grand Prize in this year's Independent Games Festival Awards (I remember noticing it in the thread about the nominees we had here).

And apparently Jim Sterling is somehow involved in the voiceovers?
There is a Totalbiscuit video that answered my question of how short the game is.
I guess I'll be waiting for a good sale.

Thanks, I don't follow game news much outside of GOG itself, so it's nice that folks like you are well informed. :)

It sounds like this might be a candidate for my One Day Game list. I'll see what folks post about it after they've had a chance to get into it.
Interesting release. Don't know what to expect, but the scenario, the art-style and the name Hunter S. Thompson in the trailer are enough to sell me the game.
Hmmm, another weird-crazy adventure with 60´/70´s USA feelings? (Octodad first). Yeah, I´ll take the bite.

I´m amazed with GOG last launches. It looks like that they listened to GOGer´s voice.
Someone made a game for me! <3

Oh, I don't follow them much either, the info I provided is the outcome of my habit of doing a little search for every new GOG release that looks interesting to me - the links I posted were among the top results (except for the nominee part, as I remember the relevant thread we had here) ;-P
This game seems...IDEK. I'm going to buy it and try it because this is just too weird to skip.
Downloading as we speak, can't wait to get into it :D
I don't even know what this is. I doubt even the people who have it know what it is. All I know is that I must buy this game. Screw Banner Saga, this is the game for me.

I just played it and I just got done degaussing (spelling?) some pigeons. Very fun so far :D
I can't wait to try this one out, it reminds me of Gravity Bone.

Degaussing as in... demagnetizing old CRT screens? If that's it, this game just got even more amazespheres to me.
So that's what happens.. because some pigeons keep lying around with their textures all wobbly like you see when you degauss a CRT.
