A strange planet. High-tech weapons. Alien-shooting, head-bashing Space Marines.

Infested Planet, a game in which you take command of a squad of 5 weathered Space Marines who share one mission: to relentlessly push back wave after wave of chitin-covered aliens and ultimately destroy them, is available 25% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.24* for the first week!

Many a time during the lengthy campaign you may find yourself having to pull back and regroup, but fear not - with some tactical skill, your men will find a way to beat the onslaught, distract the alien bugs and attack their hive-like strongholds before the enemies evolve into an even more dangerous breed. Infested Planet has lengthy campaigns, mutating aliens, real-time tactics in play and multiple upgrades for you to unlock as you progress through the game to better fend off the blue scourge.

As Rocket Bear Games, creators of Infested Planet, say themselves: “it's all about striking hard and killing lots of squishy alien bugs” - and few things sound better than that. For just $11.24 we can thoroughly recommend it for many an evening of world-saving and alien-slaying. The 25% off special release discount lasts until Thursday, November 13, at 10:59AM GMT.

**$11.24 is the price for this title in the US. Other prices will apply in different countries. If you end up paying more than than the US price, we will reimburse the difference from our own pocket, giving it back to you in store credit (this is what we call the "Fair Price Package").

F4LL0UT: saying that it's pretty darn great.
Hey, take it easy with the harsh language! :D

Exoanthrope: First we got Lifeless Planet, then we just got Lovely Planet. Now we have Infested Planet.

So when are we getting Lost Planet? :P
Now GOG just need to start selling books, and we can get Lonely Planet travel guides as well.

Rofl. I'm trying to keep my cursing at a minimum, don't provoke me you... you... evil old jerk.
This looks like one that I'd like. I'll watch some gameplay videos.

Seeing the name Infested Planet brought back memories of Enemy Infestation. I wish GOG could get that game. It's was published by Panasonic/Ripcord.

Of all the dark planets I'd most appreciate Dark Earth http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/dark-earth

And seeing the name Enemy Infestation brought back memories of Abomination: The nemesis project. It's on gamersgate so it would be cool to have it here.

Yes, EXACTLY. That is what I was thinking of when I was watching the trailer.

Vythonaut: Frankly, I'd say it's quite rude of the developer to give you a trailer tailored to another distributor.
But that's ok too, makes the trailer part of my job a little more interesting. We rarely get ''perfect'' trailers.

Unless...it's one of mine. Obviously.

:D ;)

Devs have lots going on and porting to multiple platforms and making multiple versions, trailers aren't a priority (and in the grande scheme of things they shouldn't be, really) because they have more pressing things to worry about. So if we have to cut off a narration here or there so that one guy that has final cut can get a nap in I'm more than welcoming. But I appreciate the support :D

No problem, even though you attributed my quote to Vythonaut ;-)
Oops, sorry. Deleted the wrong chunk.

Vythonaut: Anyway, I think you made the right choice for this video to apply the fadeout at the end so that the trailer stays intact (as meant to be uploaded by the developer) and at the same time be discreet and professional. :-)

F4LL0UT: Well, as an...

...audio professional I would have made the narrator fade out more quickly after he says "Infested Planet" but I'm not gonna complain.
I agree! That would have been much better.

Oh Gawd damn it... Don't mention Space Marines GOG, I'd hate to see some evil company set its legal hounds on you. You know the scum-bags of which I speak...
Im really happy to see this game here and that the developer decided to release it here after I contacted him about it around two months ago.

Its a really good game - a mix of tactical squad strategy with a touch of tower defense. I recommend it to everybody. Just be ready cause the game can get hellishly hard at the end :)

Its a game where you have to adapt a lot in order to survive the mission. So you have to think if you wan't to keep the choke point with the auto gun or would you rather leave that spot and attack the alien nest. It all depends on you.

Its only to bad that its regionally priced which will turn some people off.

RPGelephant: sometimes we get some weird stuff in trailers, but I don't want to do anything more than cover or clip in places, the minimum amount needed to fix whatever we have to fix. Otherwise I am re-cutting someone's trailer and that's not fair to the developer.

Edit: It's also rude

My thoughts, exactly. But of course the members of the GOG staff are too professional to say such a thing ( at least in public ). That doesn't stop us mere forum dwellers, though. ;P

I agree,
though the most important thing we need to see,
in the Trailers,
is some actual gameplay footage. ;)
