Test your intelligent design!

Incredipede, an imaginative puzzle game with unique mechanics and remarkable art style, is now available on GOG.com 20% off. That's only $11.99 until Thursday, November 1, at 10:59AM GMT.

Creatures changing their ways and their physique over thousands of generations, adjusting to their ever-changing natural habitat? How impractical! Had there been a chasm in their path, they would have to wait hundreds of years and sacrifice countless legions of their brethren on futile attempts to get to the other side, before one of them was finally born with legs strong enough to complete the task. What a waste of time and energy. Why in the world would you want to wait for them to learn to solve their problems on their own? That's not the way nature works, I tell you. If they need need wings, give them wings! If they need gills, just strap some on them! Ha! Evolution--what a laughable concept.

Incredipede is an exceptional game on many levels. The first thing that instantly stands out is its art style. The world of Incredipede looks like a woodcut illustration of some XVIII century book. The unique look of this game is easily matched by its original concept. You help a strange creature named Quozzle reach its goal in a multitude of cleverly designed stages. To do so, you equip it with extra limbs and strap muscles on its body, to handcraft it into a fantastic specimen designed exclusively to conquer the obstacles at hand. But there's still a whole other layer to the game. The ability to produce your own levels and creatures, share them online, and browse other players' creations and solutions, make Incredipede a limitless sandbox for devious puzzles, mindblowing experiments, and perfecting your intelligent designs!

Step in to the beautiful, woodcut lands and become the Creator and master of faith of the strange creature known as the Incredipede, for only $11.99.
Is it just me or does that creature look like it's begging for someone to kill it to end its suffering?
Modern Indie games are kind of always the same: plattform or puzzle or casual action.
It looks strangely interesting and I like music yet platformers never catch my attention for longer than an hour, so I'll pass. I still have to finish Limbo and Bastion >_>;.

It's nice that GOG gives a chance to indie developers and I wish them well but it makes me a sad panda when I look at Latest headlines being strongly dominated by them. I miss a balance.

Looks very interesting. My only concern is that it appears you have no direct control over the creature. I understand why, but I can imagine yelling at the screen because she's not doing what I want.

And in the game, obviously.
Nice to see Indie games get some page time, but at the same time it's hard to pick one up since they will inevitably end up in an indie bundle.
Good to see that I'm not the only one here who is slightly disturbed by the visuals of this game. Not sure if I'll pick this one up or not. Definately a spokesman for the "games are art." arguement.

I would like to see "indie" games like Bastion, Lone Survivor or Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP here in GOG. But then we get Incredipede, which causes mainly nausea and German adventure games.

This looks like fun! I'm going to get this one. Thanks for a new Mac game GOG! :D

Now get to work on more of the good old classics for the Mac! lol
Can't tell if people are actually disturbed by the art or if I'm just really desensitized... I guess... :D
My kind of game (again). Thanks to developers and gog!
Wait, Mac os X too?! Wow!

\You have direct control over the creature once you've given it muscles.. you can control its movements using the directional keys.

Actually you're in control of the creature you've created. The muscles flex and relax at your command.

EDIT:
Ah, ninjad by N0x0ss :-)

It looks like a very different game, and I am intrigued, but also grossed out. Will probably pick this one up soon, enough, but right now I have enough on my plate.
and not to rain on gog's parade, but if you want to support the developer, then it is now the same price in humble store:

Or pondering to retro nostalgia.
