A dreamy platformer with a world-shifting, identity-changing twist.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, a beautiful platformer that delivers a blast from the past while remaining modern, juicy, and delightfully fresh, is now available on GOG.com for only $13.49! That's 10% off the regular price until Tuesday, October 30.

They say that there's only one way to understand a teenage girl: you have to be one. In case of Giana this can prove to be even more difficult, as there's much more to her than meets the eye. But the same thing can be said about almost every single thing or being inhabiting the dream realm in which the girl is trapped. Have you ever been trapped inside a dream, wanting to wake up? A dream in which every time you thought you broke free you just fell deeper into the recurring delusion? That's what happened to our heroine. But luckily, her predicament allowed her to unleash an alternate, feisty persona and harness the ability to flip from nightmare to a dream and back, just like flipping a coin. That's more than a fair fighting chance against the twisted odds.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams takes all you love about classic platformers: jumping platforms, stomping on enemies' heads, solving simple puzzles, collecting shiny tokens, and searching for secrets--and puts it in a unique double-vision environment. While the blonde "cute" Giana travels through the dark land of nightmares, her redhead "punky" alter-ego blasts through a much lighter and cheerful dream realm. The player is given the ability to dynamically switch between the two worlds and characters at will, using both personas' unique skills and taking advantage of each world's slightly different layout. It's like playing two games at once (which in most cases doesn't make much sense apart from being a nice party trick; but here, it makes for a challenging and original gameplay).

Make yourself a nice pot of strong coffee, cause you're not getting any sleep tonight, while you run and jump through the fantastic realms of a teenage girl's fancy in Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, for only $13.49.
OHMYFUCKINGGOD

ME WANTS!!!!!

It makes such releases as The Sims 1 Complete, Black & White, or SimCity 3000 entirely possible!

Omg x 2....
MoHAA, wonderful addition!
I wish there was a soundtrack in bonus content though.
By the way, how is that statement true?

"Multiplayer notice: The game's multiplayer servers are no longer supported by the publisher and the only option available is LAN (no CD-key required)."

I played MOHAA online few days ago on dedicated servers. And cd key is required for that.

lowyhong: I am in love with the OST <3

G-Doc: Yup! I'm glad they decided to stick with the original Giana Sisters' composer. :-) Very C64 vibes :-D
Not only did they hire Chris Hülsbeck, they also got Machinae Supremacy to do the "dark" metal versions of the music (probably because they had already created the most epic metal cover of the Giana Sisters OST years ago).

Btw, I'm surprised to see that they chose to call it "Giana" with one "n". Some may have noticed that the intro screen of the C64 and Amiga versions said "Gianna", the box cover art said "Giana". According to Hülsbeck the artist who did the box cover (I guess it was Manfred Trenz, who also did the original ingame graphics) just made a mistake while drawing the cover and didn't want to change it anymore.

Either way: Sadly I'm not very impressed by the game. I think it looks nice and sounds epic but I really don't like the new gameplay, at least what I saw in the "Project Giana Public Demo". The game will have to wait in my case.
and what about controversal Hotline Miami ?

Maybe it depends on if the publisher wants to do a simultaneous release here, on GetGames, GamersGate, and Steam, it could come as late as 7 hours from now. Plus, they might still be sleeping over there in Texas.

I'm quite sure we have to wait for "global" release time... but MOHAA can be sooner ;)
anyway, all are great releases today!

Well, they took the gamecard for MOHAA down so maybe not.... I always check the "New & Coming" section after 10:00 GMT on release days because if there's a new release, that's the first place it appears. I saw MOHAA so I assumed it was today's release, but either there was a kink with uploading it or it was meant for a different date.

I think you are mistaken. It says "Giana" everywhere in the game except in the main menu. Thus, the main menu (which does indeed spell it "Gianna") has to be where the mistake is.

Check the screenshots for yourself.
EPIC WIN.

That looks so much like mario from the gameplay.
