1990s - when TV was still a thing!

GEX, a TV-culture-crazed classic side-scrolling platformer where you take down the devious media mogul Rez as a wise-cracking gecko, is available for only $5.99 on GOG.com!

His uncle modeled for a yuppie shirt logo, his Dad blew up in a NASA rocket, his busy Mom raised him in front of the tube. Meet GEX - a wisecracking gecko with a major attitude. With his blazing tongue, battering tail, and sharp wit, this outrageous reptile is ready to kill TV and movie rejects in a sidesplitting game of awesome intensity! This classic platformer from the 90s serves up a myriad of decade-specific TV and movie one-liners, and lets you battle your way through 5 uniquely-themed worlds of the Media Dimension. Not to mention that your hero GEX, unlike most geckos, can hurl fireballs, climb buildings, tail-slap his foes, and inhale power-up bugs for extra energy.

Wishlisted. Nice to see it here!
This game looks pretty cool! Does it work with an Xbox 360 controller? Is there a way to enable a windowed mode?

JudasIscariot: Finally, it's out :D Now I can get back to making Enigmatic Hints again :D

Tarhiel: Shouldn´t they be Iscariotic Hints now? :)
We should do that for games that need removing, and then just blame it all on Judas.

Everyone on GOG: Please don't remove any more games! :P
Nice good old game release! Keep'm coming Gog! :-)
Oh my, looks really nice :)
I'm sure I'll get this, but most probably not before I'll have the first Rayman finished (if ever! :D )
Great release, GOG!
Yes, yes, many times yes! I can finally finish a game I rented back in my childhood.
Wait what, I never knew this came to PC.

Is the port decent?
Remember playing a nice horror-themed demo long time ago. Somehow it still remains visible under all the garbage I keep in that big bin I call my head so it must've been good in some way... Wishlisted for now, will come back for it near the end of the month.
Splendid! I wish that such titles as this one could be added to GOG catalogue as often as possible :)

It would be great, if also Gex 3D could be added to GOG catalogue. Although I know, that all these "3DFX issues" can be a little tricky.
Nice to see another classic release :) Never heard of this series but might pick it up one day.

Not really. Gex 3D works beautifull with nGlide under Windows 8.1 64-bit.

GOG, thanks for this nice release!
Well, whaddaya know. I mentioned this game in a post I posted a month or two ago and here it is :).

Always glad to see more old games coming to GoG. Keep up the good work :)
Aww yes, gog and Square Enix bringing more of dat Crystal D.

timppu: Hmm, maybe it has changed a publisher later. I had a recollection back when this was available in retail stores that at least the PC version was a "Microsoft game", and Mobygames also lists it as such.

Grargar: What can I say? We'll learn soon enough.
Well like always I'm late to the party.
Hopefully this will answer all your questions about this release (and a lot of others too).

Gex is the Bexst

To this game:
I never ever wanted to get any new or old platformer again, but I love geckos. So what can I do?
Gex come home to gixgox!
