Human mind: the greatest puzzle of them all.

Ether One, a stylish and myst-ifying first-person perspective puzzle adventure in which you explore the mysterious realm existing in the depths of a human mind, is available 15% off on GOG.com. That's only $16.99 for the first week. The Deluxe Edition of the game is discounted by 15% in that time, as well.

Ether One is a first person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human mind. There are two paths in the world you can choose from. At it’s core is a story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the story at your own pace. There is also a deeper, more adventurous path in which you can complete complex puzzles to restore life changing events of the patients history in order to help the validation of their life. As the developers put it: The aim of the parallel paths was to make Ether One accessible to a range of skilled players. The hope was that people would be able to enjoy playing the game and solving puzzles with parents or friends, as well as immersed in the game on your own with the lights off. From a young age we enjoyed the first person puzzle games that required you to write cryptic notes on spare pieces of paper to unravel mysteries. Ether One aims to bring back pen and paper puzzle solving, whilst still being accessible and optional for people not wanting to get stuck and frustrated on the harder puzzles."

If you're up for a trip unlike any other come and explore the amazing realms of the human mind in Ether One for only $16.99 on GOG.com. The 15% release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, April 1, at 10:59AM GMT.

Mac OS X Availability Notice:
Mac version of the game is on its way to GOG.com, and it should be available within the next two weeks.

Crosmando: Also speaking of first-person adventures, it seems the anniversary edition of Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime has gone gold and fingers crossed will be on GOG this week...

SirPrimalform: I wonder why the Deluxe Edition upgrade costs $5 more than the difference between the normal and deluxe editions?
avatar
Crosmando: Soundtrack, a Comic and some "screenplays"
I think you need to read the bit of my post that you quoted again.

EDIT: What I mean to say is, I think you've misunderstood the point I was making.

Simple, really: It's an incentive to get people to buy the Deluxe Edition straight away. As I pointed out earlier in the pre-release thread, you're getting a pretty good deal when ordering the Deluxe Edition. Buying the OST from the composer's bandcamp page will cost you £7, which equates to roughly $11,56. So buying that along with the cheaper standard edition is actually more expensive than buying the Deluxe Edition (which, after all, includes the soundtrack in a lossless format!) on gog.

Mmm, but it's a disincentive for those who didn't buy it straight away.
The deluxe updrade game card doesn't clearly mention what the customer get ; the customer have to check the bonus section

see the divinity dragon commander dlc updrade in comparaison

http://www.gog.com/game/divinity_dragon_commander_dlc

they obviously just cut & padt the eher one description for the dlc upgrade... except for the bonus content of course....

Because the Deluxe Edition of Ether One has all of the deluxe content available for the eye to see right off the bat whereas the Imperial Edition of Dragon Commander had a dragon skin and a map that you can't actually see until you buy the game. That's why some of that was mentioned in its upgrade package :)

Sorry your answer doesn't convince me : it's too hard to input in the gamecard (i don't speak of the bonus content part) what the customer get ? -> that's just insulting.....>.<

if it's just because one has 0MB & the other 41MB for download size, that's ridiculious....

Why do the same task twice? Everything listed in the row of goodies for the Deluxe Edition is what you get with the Deluxe Edition. As I stated before, if there was something within the actual game i.e. an extra level, a side mission, bonus in-game items that could ONLY be accessed via buying the Deluxe/Imperial/Etc. edition of a game then yes, we would most definitely list it somewhere on the card, most likely in the "What's cool about it?" section.

Look, we do this with games that have Gold Editions on here where we state "X game includes Y and its expansion Z" because that's not something that's readily apparent until you actually boot up the game. The bonus goodies for Ether One's Deluxe Edition are listed for all to see so there's no need to tell someone twice that they are getting such and such items with a given version of a game.

well i clicked on the regular edition , and right after on the deluxe upgrade. And for me, i found quite odd, there no mention about the content of the updrade in the section 'what''s cool about it'.

yes you write again what it's written in the bonus content part, and ? where's the problem , you made the same for divinity dragon commander dlc.

if it's just because there no real added in-game content, well, that's not an excuse. (that's avaible for other game in this case). Just my opinion.

However ; i have no problem with the Ether One Deluxe Edition , my problem is with the DLC upgrade page.

Yes, it's temporary and should not be showing up in your account anymore :)
