Human mind: the greatest puzzle of them all.

Ether One, a stylish and myst-ifying first-person perspective puzzle adventure in which you explore the mysterious realm existing in the depths of a human mind, is available 15% off on GOG.com. That's only $16.99 for the first week. The Deluxe Edition of the game is discounted by 15% in that time, as well.

Ether One is a first person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human mind. There are two paths in the world you can choose from. At it’s core is a story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the story at your own pace. There is also a deeper, more adventurous path in which you can complete complex puzzles to restore life changing events of the patients history in order to help the validation of their life. As the developers put it: The aim of the parallel paths was to make Ether One accessible to a range of skilled players. The hope was that people would be able to enjoy playing the game and solving puzzles with parents or friends, as well as immersed in the game on your own with the lights off. From a young age we enjoyed the first person puzzle games that required you to write cryptic notes on spare pieces of paper to unravel mysteries. Ether One aims to bring back pen and paper puzzle solving, whilst still being accessible and optional for people not wanting to get stuck and frustrated on the harder puzzles."

If you're up for a trip unlike any other come and explore the amazing realms of the human mind in Ether One for only $16.99 on GOG.com. The 15% release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, April 1, at 10:59AM GMT.

Mac OS X Availability Notice:
Mac version of the game is on its way to GOG.com, and it should be available within the next two weeks.
Can't wait to play it, but all the (Deluxe Edition) download links lead to a blank 403 forbidden page...

Yup, that did the trick. Downloading now. Thanks!
Also, a small public service announcement:

If you see the words "Review Build" in the main menu, keep calm and be aware that the game IS final not a beta and those words were a minor oversight which is in the process of being corrected as I type this.

If you have any questions regarding the game, please, please PM me or, if something goes wonky technically, please write to Support :)

Also, for those of you who pre-ordered:

The game storywise is complete :) There are no hidden "Thanks for playing! Buy next episode pl0x!" (This statement is to assuage any trepidation that comes around whenever there's a pre-order turning into a released game situation)

I can't imagine why such an assurance would ever be necessary. You could say that I'm a bit in the dark on this matter...
Oops, it's already March 25th isn't it?
Crap, I meant to pre-order this to get the deluxe bonuses, and I totally lost track of the date. Wishlisted for now. :)
- Accessible gameplay with additional controller support for players that aren’t as skilled with complex controls.

Is the game so bad that you couldn't even put together as many as three actual features? :D

[Disclaimer: I'm not saying the game's bad, that listed as a feature just feels ... weird :-P]

I wonder why the Deluxe Edition upgrade costs $5 more than the difference between the normal and deluxe editions?

I'm not sure I'm interested in the deluxe edition, so lets say I buy the normal edition now and later decide that it'd be worth having the bonus content. That extra $5 that I would have to pay is massively off-putting and I would most likely just not bother with the upgrade.

The whole point of offering an upgrade is to try and get more money out of customers who opted for the cheaper edition, yes?

I'm not sure how much sense it makes to make upgrading a less attractive option than "having bought the deluxe edition to begin with". If the customer didn't buy the deluxe edition then the customer didn't buy the deluxe edition, it's too late to do anything about that. Why punish them for that?

I realise that $19.99 + $9.99 would total $29.98 when the deluxe edition costs $29.99, so why not make the upgrade a round $10 instead of $14.99?

I know this pricing structure is probably set by a possibly complex licencing deal involving the dev and possibly the composer(s) and comic artists and so on, so I'm not expecting GOG to be able to do anything or even comment on it. I just wanted to point out the ridiculousness of it so that whoever though it was a good idea can feel foolish.
Also speaking of first-person adventures, it seems the anniversary edition of Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime has gone gold and fingers crossed will be on GOG this week...
