Lillesort131: Will this be avaliable on Linux on GOG?
I reckon most of my Linux versions will be up eventually, if the game is on GOG at least. I'll try to poke each dev with the MojoSetup packages so they make their way here.

JudasIscariot: So which of the devs grew up with a Nintendo console? Own up, I know someone did. I can tell as I grew up with one >.>

MagicalTimeBean: I had every Nintendo console growing up. How'd you guess? ;-)
I personally was one of those ("unlucky") kids with Solomon's Key for NES (I personally preferred the GB-game "Solomon's Club" due smaller puzzles and the shop-system, even if I only was able to play it little within 1-hour-gameplay back then).
That was pretty much the game Escape Goat was reminded me of most.
So how's the difficulty on this one compared to the original? I found the main game of the original was much too easy, while "All Intensive Purposes" went overboard with the outright sadism (I like my games hard, but not "lightning-fast with surgical precision" hard). Does Escape Goat 2 hit a better balance?

As the dev, I can't answer this, but I would like to hear feedback on this topic. Difficulty curve is something we worked a lot on, and I am pretty confident about it early/mid-game, but we didn't observe a ton of people playing deep into the late game.

Well, I'm about a third of the way through, possibly (just reached a point where I have three paths to choose from). The levels have been enjoyable - more so than the original's. Only a couple have been fiddly, but far from the nightmare levels of EG1. The ones ahead look trickier. I would say the difficulty level is about the same as the earlier levels in EG1 - so far. Those fireball-wielding sorcerers are still annoying but there are some innovative new ways to kill 'em. Really enjoying the new mouse upgrades.

Who can say how easy you'll personally find the levels? What stumps me might be child's play to you and vice versa. I suppose you can wait till early buyers have completed the game, or take the plunge now. :)

Sure, I get that. Doesn't mean I can't ask for some opinions on the matter and take those for what they're worth.

Thanks for the response.

Speaking of goats, I'm kind of sad that the only way to pre-order Goat Simulator is through Steam. =(
