Point at the odd and click on the mad!

Edna & Harvey, a crazy cartoony point-and-click adventure spanning over two games: The Breakout and Harvey’s New Eyes, is now available on GOG.com for only $17.99--that's 10% off until Tuesday, October 23 at 10:59 AM GMT.

Hi. I said: "hi". Why are you looking around? I'm right here! Yes, the little blue stuffed bunny. You know--your best friend in the world? Well, actually: your only friend in the world. Still doesn't ring a bell, huh? They must've pumped you with all sorts of meds. Poor thing. Why would they lock you up like that? You don't do that to a helpless girl. Don't worry, love. We'll get you outta here in no time. Just trust me. What? You think I'm just a figment of your imagination? No problem, trust yourself, then--and let's get moving. Those padded walls give me the creeps. Why? It's because of what they have inside them. It's a stuffed animal thing, you wouldn't understand. So, can we go now? Your past awaits! Or is it the future? I always get these two confused.

From the creators of Deponia comes Edna & Harvey, a game--pardon me: two games--that earned the Daedalic Entertainemnt a place in point-and-click adventure hall of fame. Both Breakout and Harvey's New Eyes feature minimalistic, yet colorful cartoony graphics, insane storylines, thousands of lines of dialog, and immeasurable amounts of grotesque humor. Gameplay-wise, both games stick to the time-tested point-and-click mechanics with rudimentary commands that let you interact with items, people, and blue stuffed animals. But don't be fooled by their seeming simplicity--it will take you hours to get through each of them.

Dare to stare into the glare of blue bunny's crazy eyes and help two disturbed minds through a rough ride towards destiny in Edna & Harvey, for only $17.99!

Protoss: It rarely happens that I cry at a release, but this got me. I wanted so much to have The Breakout in digital distribution,
Breakout was available at Gamersgate for quite some time now (at least in English, not sure about the German version).

mobutu: is this worthy of a $20 price level?
Yes. Two really awesome games.

They're going on my Wish List (broke this month due to an upcoming holiday in Spain!) and I'm very happy to see them on GOG. Will definitely be picking them up before the end of the year.

Oops! But anyway, great to have it on GOG! Already thought about ordering an old magazine which had it as full version this year. But now I don't need to. Just waiting for a good sale now... ;-)
Great games, in a great pack!
I hope The New Beginning (the best Daedalic title) will come to the GOG catalog soon too.

Yes! Thank you GOG for this great release, especially for including the original german language. Finally a decent digital release of these great adventure games.

Mytan: Great releases! Was hoping these two were finding their way over here to gog.com and with included german language it's an instant-buy for me. Thank you, gog! :) Now we just need to get the new "Chaos on Deponia" here aswell ;)

Roman5: Not familiar with this game The screenshots do not look very appealing to me however I see a lot of people talking good things about it, what's so great about this game?
Well, it's got a lot of stuff to look at and hear comments about. It's non-generic when it comes to using wrong items on wrong objects: there are many different of comments covering the interaction failures.
Nope, he means the sequel, which should be out in November (I think).

grviper: Less so, if you've already picked up The Breakout at GG. Then you can't even gift the extra in the batch.
True, two separate releases for 10$ each would be better then, also for everyone who is kindly interested in the series or genre it would be easier to give it a shot. Would be interesting to know why they bundled them.
Yaaaaayyy!!!
I already have "Edna & Harvey ; The Breakout", but finally I will be able to play the sequel, Harvey's new Eyes"!!

ALL HAIL to GOG!!!! :P
So GOG only releases one game on Tues/Thurs now? :(

Crosmando: So GOG only releases one game on Tues/Thurs now? :(
Nope, but they do tend to keep a low profile before conferences. Also, they never said they are releasing multiple games on Tuesdasy or Thursdays, and we did get a Wednesday release (or at least preorder) last week.
The graphics in the screenshots are just placeholder art, right?

Right? =/
It looks interesting but $18 per 4 years old indie game is more than I'm willing to pay (AAA titles that old cost $9 nowadays). Wishlisted.

EDIT: On the other hand, The Breakout is supposedly around 20 hours long according to a review on Amazon UK and it includes a sequel in addition. Hmm, I'm torn; a demo would have certainly helped. I guess I'll wait for The Big Thursday Announcement and then I'll decide.

Aside from the fact that this release is two games, perhaps they're holding back because they're planning to release every game you've ever wanted this Thursday. ;)
