Grow stronger turn, by turn.

Eador: Genesis, an impressive turn-based strategy with RPG elements, that sends you on a quest to conquer a shattered realm, is now available on GOG.com, for only $4.79! That's 20% off, this week only!

The world is no longer whole. All that remains are the islands of existence drifting aimlessly through the endless ocean of emptiness and oblivion. This broken realm houses many aspiring despots, hell-bent on uniting the floating shards of land under their own rule. There was, however, no single monarch who could achieve that feat since the time of the cataclysm. That won't stop you from trying, of course. Is it because you're even more hungry for power and wealth then your opponents? Or maybe you see a higher purpose in domination over Eador? Maybe you believe, that the world united under the rule of one strong leader will finally begin to heal? As one of the Masters, you're free to exercise your will however you see fit. But know this: history will judge you.

Eador: Genesis delivers a turn-based strategy experience inspired by the classics of the genre. It's a multi-layered game, equally stressing the importance of your kingdom's development and management, and your tactical battlefield abilities. There's also a strongly accented RPG element, that goes so well with the imaginatively crafted fantasy setting of the game. With over 170 structures to build, 80 magic spells to master, and 70 kinds of units to lead into the battle, each with its own goals and defining characteristic--this title will keep you busy for many long evenings.

Looking for a well-polished turn-based strategy game that's immersive, enthralling, and deep? Get Eador: Genesis, for only $4.79! That's 20% off until the promo ends on Tuesday, December 11, at 10:59AM GMT.

towerbooks3192: For some weird reason it didn't appear on the first shard of the tutorial (I just finished the first shard and chose the next one). Now I noticed it (its the screen that say "the enemies are doomed" or something like that). Each minute that passes by, I fall in love with this game more and more. Its just too good to be true. This should have been one of GOG's $9.99. I feel guilty paying only $4.79 when the game is so addictive!
Yeah I stopped playing only because the game crashed :(

This has been a good season of releases for GOG, be they indies or oldies. Shadow Warrior, Defender's Quest, Dangerous Dave, Giana Sisters, Terminal Velocity, Eador Genesis, MOHAA, Hotline Miami. Awesome.

Other than the pick 5 sale they had, I only found Eador and Imperialism interesting. Hopefully they will release the remake because I prefer no DRM over steam but I don't care wherever it is sold, I will purchase it. Its just a very great game

Same here - looking forward to more good TBS games!!
I have a question, I don't know where to ask this but here goes:

Could I build another stronghold or it is fixed like in HoMM or I could upgrade other hexes into a stronghold with the proper buildings and population like in AoW?

I also had a problem where I am unable to build an outpost on my hexes when I think I met the right prerequisites (gold obviously)

Lastly, will the game be patched/updated to fix performance issues like framerate issues and music issue?

No,in Eador you have only one stronghold, but you must build oytposts in province, where you must hire troops (flso outpost must keep a garrison , which will guard your province), libraries, where you must change the spells and storehouse where you must repair, sell and buy Items.

It is not so easy, cause game was written with old engine and no way to re-write with new one.
Try to change some settings in eador.cfg file in core game folder

Can we have a pre-order button please?

This is abusively addictive. I just come back to the forum when I forced quit to cheat and revert to a backup save game.

So this is what the Mayans have been talking about.
On december 21 the citizens of the world will all die dehydrated and undernourished because they forgot to eat and drink while playing Eador.
It's probably some "Teminator-inspired" AI taking over the world with addictive TBS games.

We are doomed! It's all your fault!
Ok, I really like turn-based strategy games. However, I was going to pass on this game. Now I been reading this thread and I have to say, people are really selling me on this game. Also, it's the second best selling game on GOG at the moment? What the hell? This has come out of nowhere.

I'm really tempted to bite the bullet and just buy it now.
